História cómica relacionada com o acidente que o Shia teve:

Labeouf Crash Wreckage Appears On eBay

Wreckage debris purportedly from Shia Labeouf's car crash at the weekend is already up for auction on website eBay.com.

The actor was arrested and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) after his truck flipped across a road and collided with another vehicle in Hollywood on Sunday.

And an online entrepreneur hopes to cash in on the Transformers star's misfortune - he claims he dashed to the scene of the smash and salvaged "broken glass and plastic pieces from Shia's truck".

The eBay listing reads, "This is your chance to own a piece of Hollywood History... Own a piece of his shame. I just happen to live a few blocks from the crash site and collected some leftover souvenirs."

He adds, "The debris was collected afterwards and was in the public domain on the street. It's legal."

Bidding on the wreckage items will end on Saturday.

Labeouf is facing misdemeanour drink driving charges, but investigators ruled the other driver caused the accident by running a red light.

Tyrese On "Transformers 2" Role

"I like doing one-offs, but I'm more excited about franchises. We're doing Transformers 2 right now. It's crazier, it's angrier, it's bigger explosions, more robots."

"The conflict between the robots and the humans [is more angry]," Gibson adds. "The stakes have been brought up to a whole nother level. The conflicts between the humans and the Decepticons and then the conflict between the Autobots and the Decepticons. It's just more angry."

"Michael Bay is just in rare form right now."

Tyrese is careful not to reveal too much. "More robots. I'm not saying bigger. You're trying to get me to give up the size." (Laughs)

What Gibson will say is that his character's role is expanded this time around. "I am at the top of my class. I am the highest-ranking officer of my class. So it's exciting. I can just say this. Michael Bay is definitely giving Epps a lot of love in this one. It's going to be special. I've been interacting with robots. Most of the conversation with robots [in the first film] was with Shia's character. I've had a few conversations [in the second film] with robots. It's real interesting."

"We rolling. I just did a night shoot. That's why I was so tired yesterday because we shot until about 6:30 in the morning. We're doing the night thing right now and then we're going back to Alamogordo, [New Mexico] white sands to do some more of that rock star stuff out there. The stakes is just a thousand times higher. Crazy."

"We've got about two and a half more months of filming. We've got to go overseas. "I'm hearing Jordan and a few other locations. It's full-throttle."

‘Transformers’ Director Michael Bay: Shia LaBeouf ‘Was Not Drunk’ During Crash

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Shia LaBeouf was not drunk when he was involved in a collision that resulted in his truck flipping upside down on Sunday morning according to the actor’s boss, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” director, Michael Bay.

In a new interview with Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush airing on Access August 1 and “The Billy Bush Show,” Bay claimed LaBeouf was not under the influence when his green Ford F-150 truck collided with another car in the early hours of Sunday morning. While authorities have claimed in the media that officers believed the actor was drunk when they reached the scene of the accident, Bay said LaBeouf’s arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence will not stick.

“You’re gonna see — that’s gonna go away,” Bay said. “That’s fresh news… He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before.”
Shortly before 2:30 AM, another driver ran a red light, according to authorities who confirmed LaBeouf is now not being investigated for causing the crash.

“I spoke to him yesterday in the hospital,” Bay said. “His two fingers are pretty mashed, but we’re figuring out a way to shoot around it, kind of write it in the story.”

“We had a little heart to heart the week before when he bought a brand new motorcycle and I [said] ‘Dude! You cannot ride that motorcycle! If you crash, you put 1,500 people out of work,’” the director recounted. “He said, ‘Ok, I won’t ride it, I won’t ride it, I’ll just drive my truck.’”

“The kid really has his head together and you know, he’s only 22,” Bay said. “He’s doing a great job on this movie. He’s really matured since the last one and I love working with him.”

Last week MTV essentially reran a story we ran months ago, but with different sources: yes, the villain in Transformers 2 is The Fallen, the Satan equivalent Transformer from the recent comic books. Now I'm coming at you with new TF2 news: Megatron is coming back.

OK, I don't think there's a soul out there who will be surprised when Megatron returns in Transformers 2*. If the current incarnation of the script follows the beats of a previous incarnation (which did not feature The Fallen), Megatron may be getting brought back by the Autobots, who need him to conquer the new menace. But I've learned that this time he won't be that weird alien jet. This time he's a tank.

Megatron apparently was a tank in the Transformers Generation 2 comic or toys or something (I don't know, I just looked it up on Wikipedia and I still don't get it), so this has some precedent. I imagine this is as close as we'll get to seeing him be a gun, since the movies appear to eschew the sort of size shifting antics that the comics and cartoons embraced.

*Assuming the damn movie even gets finished with Shia's hand injury and general problems

EXCLUSIVE: The Transformers Mystery Car Is The Corvette Centennial Design Concept!

http://jalopnik.com/assets/images/jalopnik/2008/08/Corvette-Centennial-Design.jpg

There's been much speculation of late on the gleaming silver "Corvette-like" concept car spotted on the set of the new Transformers movie. Some outlets have incorrectly asserted the concept is a potential design for a next-generation C7 Corvette. They're wrong. Oh, it's a Corvette, but our well-placed sources tell us the concept, which we've revealed in an exclusive shot of the clay concept above, is GM's Corvette Centennial Design Concept. We expect to see it revealed early next year, months before it debuts on the silver screen in Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen.

GM's Corvette Centennial Design Concept coincides, as you'd expect, with GM's 100-year birthday party. The concept's meant to be a means of merging design elements of the past with the next century of GM design. As such, the concept car is expected to hearken back to a number of key design elements from GM power cars but not, as some have speculated, be a first-look at the design of a new C7 Corvette.

Although the concept will have long, sweeping Corvette-like lines, all it takes is one look at the front end's Camaro-like wide open mouth to see it draws inspiration from something more than just a Corvette Stingray. Coming around to the back, and the very non-Corvette-like rear end lacks any of the obvious cues you'd expect from a next-generation Corvette. The concept has a very distinct four-pipe exhaust in the center of the back end, and a sharp concave taillight housing — both are nothing like any Corvette ever seen.

Except for those rear haunches. They will be, as we've already seen in our exclusive spy photos, almost cartoon-like in their size. They're Corvette-like, but only inasmuch as they're caricatures of it. But, they'll be necessary to house the ginormous rear tires the Corvette Centennial Design Concept's sporting.

No, anyone thinking this design's a showcase of what the next-generation Corvette will look like needs to get their glasses checked. It's so much more than that.

Some say he has a tattoo of a Saleen S7 on his rear end. Others tell us he was born with a penchant for oil rather than his mum's milk. All we know is he's called the Auto Insider and he's always ready to provide the scoop from the other side of Eight Mile.

Entrevista de Petter Cullen (Autobot Commander Optimus Prime) no site Reading Eagle

Heavy metal: Peter Cullen's voice powers 'Transformers'
Peter Cullen's voice powers 'Transformers'

"I don't know exactly how many voices I have done over the years," veteran television and film voice actor Peter Cullen said. "I couldn't be dead on with an answer, but it has to be about 100 different characters.

"And, actually, you have to remember that, on some television shows, you're doing more than one voice. You could be doing three or four voices."

Cullen has been the voice behind the bad-guy car K.A.R.R. on "Knight Rider" (1982), a gremlin in "Gremlins" (1984), Venger in "Dungeons & Dragons" (1983-1985), Zandar in "G.I. Joe" (1985-1986), the predator in "Predator" (1987), Mantus in "The Pirates of Dark Water" (1991-1993) and Eeyore in every animated "Winnie the Pooh" incarnation for the past two decades.

He is best known - or at least most beloved, as like all voice artists he's essentially unknown - as the commanding voice of Optimus Prime in "Transformers." He did the talking for Optimus, a good-guy Autobot who helps battle the evil Decepticons, in the animated series that ran from 1984 to 1987, as well as the cartoon feature "Transformers: The Movie" (1986).

And he returned to voice Optimus in the blockbuster live-action feature, "Transformers" (2007), lending a hand to the human Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) when he's thrown into the fracas between the Autobots and the Decepticons.

"Optimus is my favorite character because it's been so well received and it's had such an effect on so many people," Cullen said. "Because of that, I hold it closer than any other character I've done - outside of maybe Eeyore, who's had a considerable effect on younger children too.

"When I looked at the breakdown of Optimus Prime in the original show, it was a hero. My older brother, Larry, was my hero. He had returned from Vietnam. He was with the Marine Corps, and he saw some pretty heavy experience. It was his tone of voice and delivery as a leader, his control that impressed me, and I applied my brother's attitude to life to Optimus Prime.

"It just rang a bell, and I was cast in that part. I guess people somehow picked up on that. There's a calmness to Optimus Prime, and yet a gentility and strength and honor and dignity, that are synonymous with the Marines."

Cullen is on the telephone from his Los Angeles home to talk about the extras-laden, two-disc Blu-ray edition of "Transformers" that will be issued on Sept. 2.

One revelation from the edition: Despite a rabid fan base that had all but demanded that Cullen voice Optimus Prime, "Transformers" director Michael Bay and executive producer Steven Spielberg forced him to audition for his old role.

"Well, that's Hollywood," Cullen said philosophically. "They're talking millions of dollars. People's lives are on the line, and so are their reputations. The studio itself, they don't want to make a mistake. They'd rather be safe than sorry, I think.

"The determination of the fans was overwhelmingly influential in getting me in there. Was I surprised that I had to audition? I guess a little bit. But I understand. That's part of life in Hollywood."

Once aboard, Cullen took direction straight from Bay himself.

"I enjoyed every minute of working with Michael," Cullen said. "We were one-on-one, with his engineers. He's an incredibly inspiring man. What he can do with film is just awesome, and I'm very impressed by him. His method of getting things out of me was very easy and relaxed and inspiring.

"Outside of all the investigation he did of the Transformers, he did ask me questions. They were getting away from some of the original elements in some cases and were bringing in new ideas. Michael would say, 'Peter, do you think Optimus would say this?' And I'd say, 'Sure, yeah.' Or in other cases I'd say, 'I don't think so. I don't think he'd lose his temper. He's in control.'

"So, with those parameters, I think we kept the whole feeling of Optimus from the original series right into the movie. And I was very happy about that."

Right now Cullen is happily juggling a variety of projects. He's penning a novel with autobiographical elements and continues to voice Eeyore for the Playhouse Disney series "My Friends Tigger & Pooh." And he's logging time in a studio to record his lines as Optimus Prime for the "Transformers" sequel, "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen."

"I have started," Cullen said. "I worked with Michael a few weeks ago and we did some of the opening dialogue, the opening speech and then a couple of scenes with Shia LaBeouf. Shia wasn't there, of course. I just worked from the script."
So what happens in the sequel?

"They're very secretive about the story," he said. "I only know the lines I've read, and I'm not allowed to disclose any of those. But the amount of success that 'Transformers' had on a financial level is providing a lot more screen time for Optimus Prime. It's very expensive to do all these robot characters because of the 10,000 moving parts.

"Thankfully we were a hit, so there's 'Transformers 2' and maybe 'Transformers 3.' I think 'Transformers 2' is going to be an incredible, incredible picture. I can see the excitement in the faces of the people involved, and it generates quite a bit of excitement in me too."

Enquanto não temos um trailer ou um teasr, aqui ficam Q/A's do Orci num dos foruns de fans:

- Q: Hey Bob, what are the odds of the mean green soda machine, Dispensor, carbonating his way into a second appearance?

A: Very low.

- Q: Can we look forward to no stupid pissing scenes this time around?

A: No promises

- Q: Hello, Mr Orci, thanks for coming to talk to us, I really enjoyed your involvement on the old (official, first) movie board. What do you want this movie to do? Thanks again.

A: I want it to be better than the first.

- Q: In the original line-ups for the first movie there were some robots both sides that did not make the first film. Now we know Arcee will be in this one so could we expect some of the bots who did not appear in the first movie be in Transformers 2?

A: Maybe a couple.

- Q: Who is your favorite Transformer from G1 to the '07 Movie or sequel?

A: Always Prime.

- Q: Welcome Mr Orci. Hey we know Soundwave is in,but will he have his minions: ravage, rumble,Lazorbeak etc?

A: Refresh my memory... did Soundwave usually have minions? :)

- Q: Why were the Transformers in the first film picked to be in it? Optimus and Megatron were obviously put in because it wouldn't be Transformers without them, but why were guys like Brawl and Bonecrusher in? Not complaining (Bonecrusher was awesome), but I'm just curious.

A: Some choices came more about what vehicles we wanted, and worked backwards from what we needed for the story.

- Q:
Were there any cool action ideas like that that you thought of or scripted for Movie 1 but that didn't see the light of day due to budget/technical issues etc?

A: here were a a couple things we couldn't do for budget, but also because they seemed too "out there" to the studio. Some of those things we get to do in the second movie. After we see it, I'll point out which.

-Q: Can you tell us what you favorite scene or interesting element that sets this movie apart from the first one?

A: The first movie is all about the mystery and reveal of the Transformers as a concept and a species, which means we had to hide them a lot in the first hour. In the second movie, now that everyone believes in the universe, we can jump right into the world of the Transformers.

- Q: Will there be an official announcement regarding Transformers/vehicles as was done for the first film, or will it all be speculation/rumour for fans until we see the toys/film in person? If so, will we be getting confirmation on these characters anytime soon?
Also, there's confusion as to that 10 Characters per side rule is currently true, could you shed any light on that?

A: I don' think a character announcement is planned this time around. As for the ten character thing, that was an old thing i said before we even started writing the script. It was based on nothing.

- Q: To what extent can we expect the movies to continue ties with the original Transformers characters and storyline, vs introducing all new themes and characters?

A: Without getting into percentages, I would say that the mythology of the movie is very rooted in established Transformers doctrine. Obviously, it is also a continuation of the liberties we took in the first movie.

- Q: Is Optimus is gonna be kicking some more Decepticon ass in TF2? (ala Bonecrusher in the first movie)

A: All signs point to 'yes.'

- Q: How much time do you spend writing in an average week- with TF2, Fringe, and whatever else you may be working on, it seems like you have a decent-sized workload. Also, have you become a bigger fan of the Transformers franchise since you started working on it?

A: We write about a half day every day. Working on these projects, I have come to appreciate even more the elegant simplicity of the basic concept that is Transformers.

-Q: I would love to know if paramount upgraded your spending budget from the last movie due to the huge hit it was? If so, can we learn the amount? I believe a lot of us were under the impression that some of the cg scenes suffered in the last movie (like the blurriness...etc) due to the budget. Can we expect a nice upgrade?

A: Yes we do get a bit more dough. Expect an upgrade. And we also know better what we can do this time to maximize the mighty buck. And we have the secret weapon that is Ian Bryce.

-Q: I heard Arcee is going to be in TF 2, is that true?

A: How the heck would we ever explain a female robot? Or does it require explanation? Above answer should not be taken to confirm nor deny that Arcee is in the movie.

- Q: Do you know when the teaser trailer will be released, and when?

A: Don't know yet.

- Q: So how annoyed is Bay and company with all the leaks about the movie so far? are any of them accurate?

A: Not at all. Security this time around is much better.

- Q: Will we ever hear the Autobots/Decepticons talk in vehicle mode for this movie?

A: Should we? We can make that decision in post production.

- Q: Mr. Orci, by going at the lenght of the script, is there any small indication at all about what the runtime of the sequel will be?

Also: I think you can answer this one safely. Is Ratchet coming back?

A: Going by the length of the script can be tricky because the action is longer in reality than on the page. We're trying to keep it to two hours, but I get a feeling it'll be about the same as movie 1.

Ratchet could be on assignment in Alpha Centauri. Who knows? :)

- Q: If the novel is not right, then was there any disputes or issues brought up with the publishers for having that relatively large inconsistancy? Second, I was wondering if you were familiar with how the video game adaptation went with the story and what you though of it, AND if it was based on earlier versions of the script or if you had nothing to do with it at all?

A: As for the novels and the games, both had to do work from early drafts of the script, and they did not have complete access to everything we were doing so you can't blame them for divergences.

Speaking of the novelization, a funny thing happened at botcon: some one came up to me and Alex and asked us how we went about turning the novelization into a screenplay? We told them it was the other way around.

- Q: Hey Bob, got another question:

The "leaks" and set photos we've seen thus far, would you say it's mostly

a) lots of intentional misinformation,
b) bits and pieces that are mostly true, but we don't know enough yet to get an idea of the bigger picture,
c) a mix of both?

A: I would say anything you hear from us or anyone about this movie is carefully planned disinformation (including this statement). :)

- Q: Will Bumblebee start off in his alt mode he ended Transformers in, or will he just show up as an upgraded model with the new hood scoop and lip spoiler?

A: Don't know how much we're upgrading BB fully yet, or anyone for that matter.

- Q:
1. How difficult was it to approach and write a continuation/sequel to such a large, epic summer action flick? What aspect was the hardest?

2. Any general "words of advice" for aspiring film writers, when it comes to writing sequels?

A: 1. The hardest aspect is that you lose the element of surprise. We got away with a lot in the first movies because for a long time, no one thought it would work, or that it was just a silly cartoon, and simply proving that wrong is all we had to do. The first movie was meant to be somewhat of a mystery. For the sequel, we need an entirely different structure and paradigm for the movie, and we can't rely on it being the first.

2. My advice would be to treat sequels like their very own movie and not think ahead to further sequels. It must have it's own distinct theme and character arcs from the the first movie.

- Q: 1.Who's your favorite Transformer from the 1st movie?
2.Is the rumor of Wheeljack being in the sequel true? Would you like to have Wheeljack in the sequel?
3.Do you plan on having Frank Welker voice Soundwave in the sequel? Would you like to have him voice Soundwave?

A: 1. Prime.
2. No comment.
3 No comment.

- Q: 1) Word on the street is that while the WGA was on strike Bay and the art department were working on designs, preliminary CGI, etc. How much of what they created influenced your final script and how much of what you put in your treatment was actually represented in the art department's designs?

2) If you've seen any of the new designs, on a scale of 1-10, how awesome are they?

A: What they did had very little influence on the script. We wrote a treatment before the strike. And then turned it into a screenplay afterwards.

- Q: 1. Is (was?) the writing for the film much different than the original, considering Ehren Kruger was added to the staff to help you and Mr. Kurtzman? Is it easier or harder now that you have to work with a new guy.

2. I hear Jonah Hill declined a part in Transformers:RotF due to his dislike of the script. Can you tell us what he didn't like? (I know you probably can't, but I thought you might have dropped the character from the script or changed it around with his departure allowing you to talk about it).

A: 1. Much EASIER! We said we would not do it without Ehren. We'd worked with him before so we knew we would be a good match. We look at it as forming a temporary band for a specific concert.

2. Rumors are not exactly true. He came, he read for a while, and he left. Then days later we had a meeting with him to talk about his concerns, all of which were simple to deal with. He wanted to make sure it wasn't too close to the character's he'd been playing, and we told him it would be our pleasure to differentiate him. We all left the meeting smiling and laughing, and his agents and the studio started negotiating. We just couldn't come up with a mutually satisfactory deal. Sometimes it's s scheduling conflict, sometimes it's that an actor only wants to agree to be in one movie at a time... etc. So all I can figure is some one who doesn't know much saw him leave the read early, and assumed the rest. No hard feelings here.

- Q: 1.Why did you decide to kill Jazz off in the first movie? Why was there so little emphasis on his death?
2.How long do you think TF:RotF will run for? Possibly around the time the first took?
3.Is it fun to toy with the fandom providing false information & see us squirm trying to figure out if it's real or not?

- A: 1.) Wanted to add stakes and show that you could die. As for the emphasis, we didn't wanna scare the kids yet.

2.) Probably about the same as first movie.

3.) It is fun to "play" with fandom, not to toy with fandom -- I do not hand out disinformation.

- Q: 1) In your new script is there any new action sequence you're particulary looking forward to seeing (dont tell us about it). Did it read well on paper and are you interested to see how Bay interprets that action. 2) Have you seen Iron Man (enjoy?). I know its a touchy subject over on Don's boards.

A: Alex and I did see Iron Man. We liked it enough that we went after Fergus and Ostby to adapt the graphic novel that we're producing, "Cowboys and Aliens." And we liked Downey Jr. enough to go beg him to star in the movie. Does that answer your question?

- Q: Why would they wanna downgrade to PG?? Michael Bay already said that he wanted to make it edgy. And its obviously not going to be rated R.

A: PG-13

- Q: I know you said that there was going to be no official cast announcement, but I thought it could be fun to maybe to a 'TF of the month' sort of thing, where once a month a character is revealed to the fans. One a month up until May 09 or something. That way we don't find everything out at once yet we still get official word, monthly as to who we will see on screen. Heck you could even start off with the obviously returning characters!

A: Interesting. why not? I'll run it up flagpole.

- Q:
Does and will the Matrix of Leadership exist in the Movie Transformers Universe?
If Yes, Will the Matrix of Leadership be worked into the sequal some how ?

A: I don't see why anything we've done would preclude the existence of the Matrix of Leadership in this movie Universe. Perhaps it can be worked into a sequel.

- Q: 1) Is Shakey Cam an excuse for cutting down on the CGI budget? Why not showcase the CGI effects you paid so much for instead of ruining it with headache-inducing shakiness?

2) How many plot lines will you have? The previous movie had 6 (Parents, Sam, Govt, Military, Hackers, Sector 7).

3) What is your definition for "respecting the source material"? What is your take on that?

A: All loaded question... here's honest answers:

1.) Shakey cam is all the rage these days. didn't you see Cloverfield? But seriously, It's a way to simulate a frenetic, ground level subjective POV. And yes it does help to save money while remaining faithful to the visual truth of seeing these things from our puny human pov.

2.) Part two had 3 plot lines -- A boy and his car, soldiers behind enemy lines, and defense policy people -- all reacting to Transformers in a somewhat multiple point of view disaster movie paradigm and structure. Part two will be a different paradigm. More like parallel stories.

3.) Respecting the source material means taking that which works about a given property it and discarding that which doesn't or that which interferes with the requirements of the adaptation (film, tv, stage, whatever). Also, to somehow capture the visceral/emotional tone that source material evoked.

- Q: What are your thoughts on the Transformers: Mosaic series?

A: I think they rank well in the line up.

- Q: Any chances we'll get to hear Prime give the full "Autobots, Transform and roll out!" line instead of just "roll out!"??

A: Yeah -- there's a chance...

- Q: 1) In regards to returning TFs from the first movie... what's the status of Alt modes? I know you probably cant give specifics, but in general, will they be keeping the same forms, or getting new forms? 2) And if the later is true, how much of that is you guys's say (You being the writers and Mr. Bay), and how much is Hasbro's? I imagine from a toyline standpoint, they'd probably prefer new guys.

A: No comment on Alt Modes except in general, some similar.

As for the practical decision making, it's a mix of many things -- continuation from style of tf1 -- which real life cars and vehicles are available to us legally and promotionally to shoot --

You might be surprised, but I heard some at hasbro arguing to keep some characters the same so that parents WOULD NOT have to buy the same toy twice for their children just cuz it had fuzzy dice this time, or whatever. Hasbro is all right.

- Q: With all this news about Icecream twins, "Wheels" and so forth, I'm a bit worried that we won't get to see very many new "Classics" characters. Should I be worried?

A: Slightly -- but there will be plenty for die hards.

- Q: Mr Orci, Is this the real first poster for TF:ROTF or have we all been punked?

A: Never seen it before.

- Q: How many country will receive visitors from space? From what we know by now, france, china and united states will be there,is there anymore? Will there is any chance we'll get a teaser trailer before the end of the year? How many title ,before the choice of revenge of the fallen, were in the race?

A: The story for part 2 is more global, for sure.

Teaser will surely come out before the end of the year.

None. Alex Kurtzman came up with the title, and it was the only one we put up on the cover of the script.

- Q: Does the potential SAG (Screen Actors Guild) strike affect filming for TF:ROTF at all, and if so how?

A: As far as a strike goes, Transformers is probably in the best position to deal with a strike in that Michael Bay and Ian Bryce prepared a schedule that takes into account the possibility of a strike. Also, there is much action that Michael can shoot in the meantime.

- Q:
1) Which movies and TV shows, other than Transformers G1, would you consider your inspirations while writing the movie? You already pointed out the parallels between some elements in the TF movie and Spielberg's "ET". Anything else you drew inspirations from? 2) And before Bumblebee attacked him, was Barricade aware that Bumblebee was an Autobot?

A: 1. Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, Close Encounters and Terminator 2.

2. Intended that Bumblebee is protecting Sam knowing a Decepticon may show up. In our minds, they can't recognize each other until they transform.

- Q: Since filming has already started, and the movie has pretty much gotten a solid start, do you still have any input into what goes on, or how certain scenes turn out? Also, are you taking into account any input from the fans that has come up from threads and forums like this one? Thanks!

A: We are contracted through the entire production and post production. Like the first movie, we ABSOLUTELY listen to fan input throughout. In fact, I I've said before and will say again that the first movie probably had more fan input in its DNA than any other movie ever.

- Q: Will there be any transformers in the sequal who are like scorponok with animal modes instead of humanoid modes?

A: All signs point to 'probably.'

- Q:
Are you guys planning to give the remaining unshot segments of the script a second look during this hiatus, or are you guys happy with everything as it is? Thanks.

A: We always give everything a second and third and fourth look!

- Q: Mr, Orci, will we find out what happened to Barricade in the first movie? And why make such a blatant mistake as to just remove him without explanation?

A: I blame Bay and we blame ourselves for not being on set that day:)

- Q: Hi, is it possible to have Optimus NOT say phrases along the lines of "My bad" and "Stop lubricating on the human"?

A: I like those lines -- huge laughs from non-fans. However, because fans also deserve a break -- we'll keep Optimus' voice classic for you this time around.

- Q: Would you say that there is a central theme or idea that guides the second movie?

A: Yes... one of the themes is about the responsibilities you face when being away from home -- reflected by Sam going to college and by the fact that the Transformers themselves, are of course, far from Cybertron.

- Q: Mr Orci, ss there a chance we might see any characters that are smaller than Frenzy was in TF:ROTF?

A: It's possible, for sure.

- Q: How would you describe Hasbro's involvement?

A: We felt no pressure from Hasbro. We knew our responsibility was to make the right live action translation, and that the movie had to come first, and if they couldn't understand that, they could go suck it -- we don't work for them. Luckily, they did understand that and they were AWESOME. Totally supportive, wanting to do anything they could to help us realize our vision of what the live action movie should be, and really caring about the fans and not just about selling toys.

- Q: Will you, along with Alex, have a cameo in the movie? Will Bay have one too?

A: I like to see movies as a fan, and nothing would ruin a movie more for me than to see my stupid face in it.

- Q: Mr. Orci, who is the one character that you want in the movie or was in the movie?

A: Many characters we would want, but there is only so much room in a two hour movie.

- Q: I am a little curious though, why Alex Kurtzman never seems to interact with fans. Is Alex Kurtzman a shy person?

A: Alex Kurtzman is not shy, he just doesn't like to read negative things about us. And he also has a new son, which takes up the rest of his free time. But his role on our team is 50/50. We've always been equal partners.

- Q: Mr. Orci, the first movie focused on Prime and Bumblebee for obvious reasons. Will the 2nd movie give the spotlight to other characters?

A: Seems logical.

- Q: Is there any chance of Prime and company being more of a force to be reckoned with in the new movie, or is it more important to make them heavily reliant on humans to save the day?

A: I believe your concerns will be mightily satisfied...

- Q: Hey Bob, how do you select the robot characters in the movie(s)? Do you have a list of classic Transformers characters you want to use in the movie, or do you approach it from the story side and have a list of general character traits (like, a "tough guy", a "master spy", a "chatty blabbermouth" and so on) which you then try to find names for? Along the same lines, are the vehicles selected based on the characters ("we need a car that can work as Sunstreaker"), or does General Motors say "We want the new Chevrolet model featured in the movie", and you then have to write a character around that car? To what extent do you or the design team have control over the colors and other "custom" details of the vehicles, and how much is mandatory on the manufacturer's behalf?

A: Both. In the first movie, we knew we wanted a few key characters, and the rest were selected more about conforming to our story needs. If the names come from established lore, we like to try and base their traits on them

As far as design, it's a negotiation with Hasbro and car companies.

- Q: 1) Could you confirm the following working names for characters from leaked scripts?

a Blackout was at one point supposed to be named "Grimlock".

b) He was also at one point supposed to be named "Vortex".

c) Frenzy and Barricade were at one point conceived as one and the same character, named "Soundwave", who infiltrates the CIA headquarters (instead or Air Force One) as a portable stereo, then turns into a Humvee and attacks Sam.

A: 1.) Yes. In our first draft, before we even brought Bay on board, he was named Vortex. Don't remember him going through many other names.

2.) don't recall Frenzy turning into a humvee in any of our drafts.

- Q:
What did you think about the Movie toys the first time you saw them? I mean it's one thing to create a character for the big screen, but it's got to feel weird to hold one in your hands. And if I can add to that question, do you have a favorite toy from the movie line?

A: It was really strange. Particularly liked the Bumblebee MP3 player.

- Q: Just a casual question, how you been doing man? Everyone is asking and whining about movie questions, I want to ask how your day was.

A: Thanks... not bad... kind of a slow week in hollywood since everyone is out on vacation.

- Q: 1. Why did you make alien robots acting like humans and like Gremlins (Frenzy)? Wouldn't they be more realistic if they were non-speaking and without personalities?
2. Why all those ugly faces, with horrible mouths?
3. Why the use of a comedy tone for the major part of the film? It makes it look like it doesn't take itself serious at all.
4. Why Megatron acts like a stupid old movie bad guy? Couldn't you made him smarter and working behind the curtains, like Hades from Saint Seiya?

A: 1.) Yes, it would perhaps be more realistic to have non-speaking automatons, however the source material prescribed sentient alien robots with personalities.

2.) I'm sure we look ugly to them.

3.) We were emulating the style of movie from the old Amblin days, like Back to the Future and Gremlins, which if you watch today are still very funny. Also, the cartoon itself was quite funny. Also, comedy makes things more accessible to a larger audience.

4.) We portrayed Megatron as a monster because we didn't want there to be a whole lot to scheme about behind the scenes. Also, he was frozen through most of it, so he didn't exactly have a whole lot of time to scheme.

- Q:
So, just out of curiosity, would you say that the script changed more after Michael Bay came on board the project or before? And, out of curiosity, how many revisions total did you guys do?

A: It changed more before because our first draft was quite different from our second, after which Bay came onboard. Our second draft is pretty much what the movie was. Also, we are our own worst critics.

- Q: Bob, did you write any characters (robot or otherwise) with certain actors in mind? If so, how close did you get to matching them all up?

A: Other than Cullen, no.

- Q: Were the early Transformers names leaked to the internet really "code names" like Bay claimed (as in "We already know what they will be called eventually, but we're using these fake names to throw people off"), or were they just honest working names (as in "We don't know yet what we will eventually call them, so we're just using these names until we can think of something better")?

A: Half true. We knew the names of most, but he was so upset by leak that he put out a bit of disinformation, even claiming that we, the writers, had no idea which characters we were writing, which as I hope is painfully obvious, is absurd on its face.

- Q: Mr Orci...

Are you involved with anything for TF:ROTF at the upcoming Comic-Con?

If yes does this include any footage of any kind as i've seen many conflicting reports on what will be happening at SDCC.

A: We will be there for Fringe and Eagle Eye, but we are not part of anything for TF, although I imagine there will be some little tid bit.

- Q: Ok, here are the questions I did ask earlier on...

1. First off, is there expected to be more characterization and emphasization among the Transformers in the sequel?

2. How many Transformers series have you seen besides G1. And which one is your favorite so far?

3. I know that Peter Cullen was the only voice actor from a previous show in the TF franchise. Will there be other voice actors from the previous TF series besides Cullen?

4. Is Galvatron and/or Unicron expected to be in the sequel or any future sequels?

A: 1.) Yes.

2.) Sampled all of them, but for simple nostalgia, G1 is my fav.

3.) Don't know yet. It's possible.

4.) We've talked about it. Don't wanna spoil anything!

- Q: Could there be possibly other elements taken from other series besides G1? Such as Beast Wars, Armada, Cybertron, or Animated?

A: Yes.

- Q: 1. How much control, as a writer, did/do you actually have over which characters are to be in the film? I know there wasn't pressure from Hasbro, but I wonder about influence. I ask this question because I'm curious if you have any favorite character you wrote into the movie simply because you have the power to; or did everything have to get run by Bay and Hasbro?

2. I remember you mentioning several pages back that Transformers had the most fan input in its DNA than any other movie. I was wondering if you could give us a couple of examples?

A: 1.) Different in every case, but so far so good. Most of what happens in the movie and most of the characters came from our original treatment.

2.) Cut arcee in movie one, lost soundwave when fan outcry said do him right, not as Frenzy and countless others that I'll try and remember.

- Q: Is "The Fallen" of the title actually the character from War Within?

A: No comment. :)

Q:
Mr Orci, since we know that the 10/10 rule isn't true, can we expect fairly balanced teams this time around, or will the Decepticons outnumber the Autobots again?

A: Take a wild guess!

- Q: If you've seen the concept images, are the designers basing some features (such as weapons/tools and colors) from previous Transformers series? Simple yes/no/don't know answer will do.

-A: Yes...

-Q: Will Optimus have any badass fight scenes like the one-on-one with Bonecrusher from the first movie?

A: Prime is going to truly live up to his name this time around.

-Q: When you're writing, how conscious are you of budget / technology limitations? For instance do you have ideas and then quickly dispose of them because you don't think they would be possible with the budget / technology available?

A: because you don't think they would be possible with the budget / technology available?
Use to be that way, but we've gotten pretty good at knowing intuitively what something will cost and then trying to forget about it and use the force to trust we'll be on target without compromising what we want to do. But sometimes, yes, you just know something you want is potentially too expensive.

- Q: Do you see the Maximals and Predacons being apart of the Movie universe at all?

A: Why not? Maybe not early on, but of the films can stick around a bit, sure.

- Q: What do you do to get in the creative zone when you're writing? How often do you find yourself staring at a blank screen unable to make the words flow?

A: I hate blank screens -- so even if I have writer's block, I will literally put down ANYTHING to avoid the blank screens ...

-Q: What was the one thing you were most disappointed with in the first movie?

What was the one thing you were happiest with in the first movie?

A: Thumbs down: Length.

Thumbs Up: Tone.

-Q: Here's something that you probably didn't have a chance to really explore in the first film: If these things are robots in disguise, wouldn't there be a lot of panic and fear for the humans who knew that these 'bots could be *anywhere* and/or *anything*? I could imagine people being very paranoid and not trusting of any machines / vehicles.

Have you guys played around with this concept/idea much?

A: It has certainly been discussed...

Talk to you all next week... :)

-Q: What is your opinion of the Generation 1 character Wheelie? and, if you know this, what is Bay's opinion of the character?

A: None of us are huge fans...

- Q: Mr. Orci, I've seen The Dark Knight twice now, and my question is: is Transformers Revenge of the Fallen going to be darker than the first part? Transformers 1 could have been a bit more dark if you ask me, with all the comedy and stuff.

A: Yes.

- Q:
Bob, is it true that Michael kicked the head off of a scale model of Optimus Prime that Hasbro built?

If this is true, did you witness it and was it totally awesome?

Slightly more serious question: I think the Autobots really need an engineer/scientist/inventor. Would you agree with me?

A: Don't know about him kicking any heads. I'll ask him.

Scientist not a bad idea at all.

- Q: Hi, Bob. Will the new main villain will get more screen time than Megatron got? Will the new villain have cybertron or earth mode only or both? Will the second film be more like 'The Empire Strikes Back' which is darker, get a surpising revelation and the villains win?

A: The villains, all sround, will get more screen time than before.

No comment on earth modes!

Yes, more like empire on some other of our favorite sequels, but not exactly... :)

Entrevista a Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime) no site aintitcool (http://www.aintitcool.com/node/38111):

Beaks: The fans played a huge part in getting you in the film. Are you still sensing an appreciation from them now that the film has been made?

Peter Cullen: Oh, absolutely! To tell you the truth, Jeremy, I was knocked out by it. It gave me a whole new perspective on the work that we all did. I tried to let that fan base know that I was extremely grateful for their lobbying efforts, and that I didn't want to disappoint them or have them be disappointed in any way.

Beaks: It's very rare that a voice actor gets to feel that kind of connection with their audience. You do your work in relative isolation, and it goes out into the world, and you know it connects with people in one way or another. But this is kind of unprecedented.

Cullen: It took me by surprise, I must admit. Of the conventions that I have been to, the amount of people is another surprise; to think that anyone can muster that from the voiceover world... it's strange and wonderful.

Beaks: Have you ever had a moment where you're... I don't know, ordering a coffee or something, and someone recognizes your voice?
No, not really. (Laughs) But I have had serious reactions from some people who've been told in my company, "Oh, he does Optimus Prime." They'll do a double-take, and, and because I know what's taking place, I'll immediately respond (in Optimus's voice), "Cool it!"

Beaks: (Laughing) That's great.

Cullen: I'll give them a look, and say (as Optimus again), "Calm down! Not here! Not now!" And they'll go, "Oh, my god! That's so great!" That is a real gift. If you can receive anything in your life that's bigger than that, I couldn't conceive it. That kind of feeling that you get from people appreciating something you've done is a wonderful, wonderful thing.

Beaks: As a working voice actor, I can't imagine that you know, one show to the next, whether your work is going to make a deep imprint in the popular culture. Was there any inkling when you took on the role of Optimus Prime that this character was going to leave a deeper groove than the others?

Cullen: I think so. When I saw the character breakdown, I said, "This is indeed a real hero. This is not like any hero we've ever seen before." He penetrated different zones. There was a sense of him. He wasn't just muscle and strength. He went beyond that. There was dignity and courage, and a soft spoken honor and integrity about him. Very well written. So to apply those traits... they weren't necessarily implicated in the script; I just did an impression of my brother Larry, who served in the Marine Corps, and lowered the voice. I think we nailed it. The scripts were wonderfully written, and there was so much to absorb in a half-hour. Don't forget, Jeremy, that was how many years ago? 1984? '85? Gee whiz, I was just a child! (Laughs)

Beaks: I was in grade school at the time. Transformers hit right at the right time for me. The toys and the cartoon came out when I was in fourth grade, and the animated movie was released in the summer of '86. That was right before I entered junior high, so it was the perfect sendoff. You couldn't have toys or be watching cartoons like that in 7th grade.

Cullen: In this day and age, with the electronic stuff you can get off of DVDs and the internet. And now the Blu-ray. Have you heard about that?

Beaks: Oh, yeah.

Cullen: Oh, yeah! I went down and saw it, and it's incredible. You don't have to buy toys anymore. Just buy the Blu-ray, and there's about a hundred toys right there on your screen.
I think about all of the options that kids have available to them now. If I would've had some bells-and-whistles Blu-ray when I was twelve, I probably would've never left the house.

Cullen: It's huge.

Beaks: And the Blu-ray is only going to stoke more anticipation for TRANSFORMERS 2, which is shooting right now. Have you had the opportunity to visit the set, see any footage or chat with Michael Bay?

Cullen: I've had one work day with Michael. We did the opening. But I didn't have the opportunity to see any real footage - until I was leaving. I hate to use the word over and over "knocked out", but I was stopped in my tracks. "Whoa! Can I see that again!?!?" It's going to be huge.

Beaks: Just when you thought they couldn't top the spectacle of the first movie?

Cullen: No question. He's excited, too. Bay is really excited. He's animated. He's such a creative guy and a perfectionist. He's got a high energy level that's really cool.

Beaks: He gets a bit like a little kid when he's working.

Cullen: You can see his brain working. What goes on in that head of his is indescribable. (Laughs) He's amazing.

Beaks: How much of a connection have you been able to form with the human actors? Now that the first film was a hit and you know you'll be making more, have you had the opportunity to interact with Shia or Megan?

Cullen: Nope. None of the above. I have not met anyone. I know Charlie Adler [the voice of Starscream], but aside from the voiceover people... I didn't even meet Hugo Weaving. I admired his work, but... I haven't had an opportunity to be with the real actors. During this year, I'm sure there will be a time where I'll be able to go to the studio and see some of that. I'm looking forward to that.

Beaks: It's amusing how you can go from the epitome of a strong leader in Optimus Prime to doing the voice of Eeyore. That's a compliment to your range as an actor, I would say.

Cullen: (Laughs) Well, thank god they're in the same vocal area. I just apply the baritone. Eeyore requires a lot more air; he's actually deeper in another way. It's a chest resonance more than anything else. He never yells, and he doesn't laugh. Neither one of them laughs. Optimus doesn't laugh. They chuckle, but they don't laugh.

Beaks: But I watching TRANSFORMERS over the weekend on HBO, and I was noticing how you subtly changed your vocal performance from the cartoon. You gave Optimus a little more lightness. We get to see a funnier side.

Cullen: Right. I think you'll see more of that. His relationship with humans demands that he be more human. When he's one-on-one with Sam or the other characters, there's an opportunity for more humor and sensitivity, not just stone-cold metal. Coming into that human element... it's different; it's a little challenging because you have to be more conversational without stepping out of his character or losing any of his ingredients. We'll see more of that, I think. I don't want to speculate, but it seems to be going that way.

Beaks: Well, I don't need Michael Bay's ninjas breaking my windows again, so let's not talk about things that we're not supposed to talk about.

- The previously leaked Long Haul concept art by Josh Nizzi (see below) is legit

The "Long Haul" concept had been made by artist Josh Nizzi before he had been brought on board the Transformers sequel design team. After he had been hired, the design was removed from his website which lead to speculation that the design may have been picked up by the movie team

Roberto Orci has answered more of your questions about the upcoming sequel to the Transformers Live Action Movie, Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In the last couple of days, Mr Orci has confirmed that principle photography for Transformers 2 will wrap "another five weeks or so".

Also, without confirming what Soundwave will turn into (or the Ice Cream truck robot), Roberto Orci stated that Soundwave will not be an ice cream truck, nor will he be an iPod or a combiner made of many iPods.

Asked about Jazz, the answer was a solid "NO" to appearances in either flashbacks or a full return. Where does this leave the recent image leaks? Watch this space for more information!

Asked about Devastator, Roberto's response was, "IF such a thing were to happen, it would be done very realistically".

Roberto Orci also again stated that this movie will deal more specifically with the mythology of the Transformers.

And last, but not least, a question that has been asked by many fans: Will a potentially resurrected Megatron be adopting the name Galvatron? The response to this question is:

"We talked about it a lot."

À falta de tag spoilers  , cuidado ao ler este post:wink:

BIG SPOLIERS

Parece que o Orci andou a responder a umas perguntas dos fans por vários foruns:

- On Peter Cullen's cameo: "Its in the script... let's see if Bay shoots it..."
- On introducing new concepts versus expanding TF1 concepts in sequel: "50/50"
- Writer commentary for movie: "If Bay lets us. He's an attention hog. If not, Alex and I are going to do one for itunes for both movies." (cool idea).
- Orci: "This movie will deal much more with the specific mythology of the Transformers."
- Return of Jazz: "No" (this idea needs to die, why waste story time bringing back Jazz when can use it to introduce new Autobots - TFLive).
- Soundwave's (not) alt-mode: "Without confirming an ice cream truck -- NO." and "No ipod Soundwave."
- Time left in TF2 shoot: "another 5 weeks or so..."
- Update: Orci also says "no" to the Chevy Volt being Soundwave.

Outra info sobre o autobot/decepticon jetfire (presume-se que seja o Blackbird já aqui mostrado):

TFW2005 has received confirmation from the TFW TF2 Insider that Jetfire will be an Autobot in the upcoming sequel Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen. It could be that the Decepticon symbols previously reported to be on the SR-71 Blackbird were part of Michael Bay's misinformation campaign? Or is it a plot twist?

Já em G1 o transformer traiu os decepticons para se juntar aos autobots...:-?

1. How do I know if there making 5 movies? The whole crew signed a contract saying they will make 3 installments. Shia also said he will make 2 more after 3 because he liked Transformers when he was young.
2. What’s up with the Scorponok (image)? He will get upgrades. You will see his robot mode. His robot mode is the same as the toy line.
3. The 7 Constructicons will make "Devastator"
4. What will be the replacement name for Bonecrusher of the Constructicons? (Since he died) Starscream has special plans for that dead body. (Notice in the movie, his body wasn't on the cargo carrier.
5. What’s up with the Arcee bikes? I’ll give you a hint. The special people in Transformers "Armada"
6. How the heck will they explain a female Transformer? Simple. A malfunction.
7. I wonder who the Corvette is? Another hint. G1 color: Blue
8. Jazz's return? You'll never see it coming.
9. If they could afford money to get the world’s largest dump truck that's 2 stories high as "Long Haul", then how come they couldn't afford an Aircraft Carrier? We are saving the best for last.
10. When we first thought of Soundwave being in the second movie, we designed him to be the comedian of the group. He would play music and his big HD speakers would come out of his shoulder to annoy Starscream. The songs we thought of were Caramelldansen. Also some Rock songs from AC/DC and Kiss. Then Starscream would tell him to shut up. To bad they cancelled the idea. If you asked me, I think they should have kept it.

Notas:

TFW2005 has received confirmation that The Fallen is a new character in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The name of the sequel is indeed referring to this new character, and it is not referencing the Decepticons from the first movie trying to get revenge on the Autobots.

entrevista do IESB ao Orci (Robert):

IESB: On Transformers it's a bit different on the writing process because you've got Ehren [Kruger] working as well. How did that work out for you guys?
Bob: We couldn't have done it without Ehren. It would have literally been impossible because we were producing Eagle Eye...
Alex: And with the strike, it really ran out the clock so when the strike ended, we had four months to get a shooting draft together. And so the three of us locked ourselves into a hotel, or I should say, Michael Bay locked us in a hotel... We would work in one room, Ehren in another room and then we'd get together twice a day and trade pages and go over each other's stuff. It was actually great, it was a lot of fun and having him come in with a fresh perspective and not having had any of the baggage we had from the first movie was key to making the second one it's own movie, distinct from the first one.
Bob: And Ehren's the greatest too because he's equal parts fan boy and grown-up and I think he is able to get the best of both perspectives and so it was just a very fun team and it felt, we worked together on a movie he had written for us as producers, but this was the first time to really sit down and write together and I think it was the easiest transition I can imagine.

IESB: Real quickly on Transformers, it looks like it's definite that the Constructicons and Devastator are in, Soundwave is in, can you give us any hints, any clues of what else we are going to see?
Bob: You are going to find out a lot about the mythology. It's officially going to tell you what the Transformers history is and I think a lot of it is going to be taken, somewhat, from gospel. I think we all settled on the fact that the source material and the myth that established in much of the Transformers back story was perfect for this movie. And that should be satisfying to genuine fans.

IESB: One of the things that we got teased about, and that I loved, was looking at Cybertron. Are we going to actually see it this time? Are we getting the same - explain it in the beginning of the movie and then back to Earth?
Alex: I think in the spirit of what we gave you in the first movie, there will be similar things in this movie.
Bob: Meaning, "no comment." (laughter)

Produtor Bonaventura fala sobre o filme:

- "... probably three times as many Transformers in this. Both more Decepticons, more Autobots."
- "No, I wouldn't promise that [in regards to "more Cybertron"]. But I will promise that you are going to see a lot of things the fans wanted to see in the first movie we couldn't do. We are able to do now. You are going to see those fans favorites. We all try to hide what it is, you guys found out. Don't ask me who they are. It is you pick three or four characters you wanted to see...you really like...they are in this. ...Bunch of great ones."
- "We are taking [this movie] international. Bigger movie. Bigger arena."
- About trailer: "I hope this holiday season. ...the problem is always the same problem the visual effects are never quite ready in time. I know Paramount and Dreamworks wants to put em out for the holidays, its just whether we can get the visual effects done on time."

After film crews leave Otero County at the end of September, the movie is expected to wrap up sometime in the middle of October, said Gabrela Gutentag, publicist for the project.

Details about the filming and the movie are being kept quiet because the producers want to offer their audiences as much of a surprise as they can, Gutentag said.

"That's pretty much how it's done nowadays," she said. "They all keep things as secret as possible."

So far, approximately 700 people from Alamogordo, Otero County and surrounding areas have been involved in the project.

"That's for everything," Gutentag said. "From the initial preparations (which took place in April) to site prep, costumes, catering and extras."

Parece que não é desta que temos triple changers, só no 3º filme:evil:

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen writer Roberto Orci answers more of your questions! In this latest batch of answers, he confirms that there are no triple changers in Transformers 2 unless you count combiners. In his own words:

Talked about it. Does a combiner count? We figure a triple changer is a good idea for part 3.

Also covered in this round of questions - it is "certainly possible" that we will see more bickering between Megatron and Starscream, there will be "some more emphasis on the Transformers", and Roberto and fellow writers Alex Kurtzman and Ehren Kruger have "talked about" the possibility of Optimus Prime combining with another robot or even his trailer.

Also, for all of you who have been trying to guess what Soundwave will turn into, when asked if anyone had been correct on their guess of Soundwave's alternate mode, Roberto's response was:

I don't think so, but I haven't seen all the guesses.

Scarto, as seguintes noticias estao mais que confirmadas e sao seguras, e vêm confirmar as imagens anteriores!!!! não ha como falhar mesmo :D :
SPOILER ALERT!

The Hasbro Licensing Summit 2008 at Malaysia Kuala Lumpur has revealed the identity of the Chevy Corvette as Sideswipe! The second revelation is confirmation of Ravage in Revenge of the Fallen. Ravage is described as having a very raw beast mode.

Further confirmation of our earlier report of Devastator in the Transformers sequel, as the toys will merge to become a Supreme sized figure.

Images of the Leader-class Optimus Prime and Megatron figures were shown, reconfirming that Megatron does indeed now have a tank as his vehicle mode and that the Optimus Prime figure will be a new mold with a new transformation.
Por esta não esperava, parece que o soundwave sempre vai ter minirobots para ejectar e enviar em missoes á semelhança das cassettes que ejectava em G1, e ainda por cima logo o Ravage :D

During a Hasbro Italy 2009 Brand Preview it was revealed that Transformers Movie Optimus Prime will Combine with Jetfire in Revenge of the Fallen. This is why Jetfire will be an Autobot, and not a Decepticon

Transformers 2 Caught At Air Force Base, Chevy Beat Bot To Be "Skids"
Looks like the crew of Transformers 2 was caught on-set in Arizona at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base along with a couple of the more robotic cast members — albeit while in their vehicle mode get-ups. Based on the plates, it looks like we're also able to put a name to the bot who will be played by the Chevy Beat: Skids. Despite our best efforts, we couldn't decipher the plate on the Chevy Trax, but that's okay because the upgraded Chevy Camaro will still be Bumblebee, and that's the only one we really care about anyway. (Thanks for the pics Matthew)

Eis o que o Sr Orci respondeu a algumas perguntas de fans pelos foruns:

Why is Tidal Wave, the aircraft carrier, removed from the sequal?
Couldn't make it work for the story.

tell us if Soundwave is really turning into a pickup truck...
Soundwave is not a pick up truck...

A number of fans, myself included, noticed a lot of similarities between Movie Scorponok and his Beast Wars namesake, certainly more than existed between him and the more famous G1 Headmaster version. Were these just coincidental similarities based on a similar size and altmode, or was Movie Scorponok a conscious BW nod? If so, might we see any more in future films?
Conscious nod to BW. We wanted to find some organic way to do something more than just vehicles, and when we hit upon the notion of soliders trapped behind enemy lines being hunted by a Decepticon, Skorpy seemed to fit the bill.
(I think the use of "sparks" alone shows that Beast Wars, a great series btw, had a huge influence on the writers.)

Can we expect lots of fights as cool as Optimus vs. Bonecrusher from TF1 but longer?
Yes, indeed.

Bob, if you are you at liberty to say so, have any of the leaks from the TFW TF2 Insider been misinformation?
Some. Yes.

Is there a robot called The Fallen? If so is he playing a role in Transformers Revenge of the Fallen?
Maybe. On the other hand, Fallen may simply be a synonym for the defeated side.
(So basically he re-iterated the two prevailing theories on who "The Fallen" is.)

I heard Peter Cullen would be makeing a cameo. Is this true?
We wrote a cameo into the script. I actually don't know if he was able to do it or not.

Also i asked you a little while ago if the movie was going to be released to the world at the same time in every country? You said you would find out? Do you know yet?
Most of the world, yes. But not all.

Bob is there any combiner in the TF2. Or at least can you say if something really big is in it.
BIG, yes
(Now my source says that "Devastator" is not a combiner but based on the world's largest earth mover, so this answer really means all theories remain valid.)

...can you comment on the photo of the Green Chevy Beat that has the license plate named Skids?
no idea -- sorry

Bob, have the transformers' names been set yet, or are they still up in the air like movie 1?
nothing's ever set until the movie rolls
(For example, that the license plate on Skids is a perfect background for CGI work to change it to something else. Course be a waste of money but still doable.)

Roberto, are any humans gonna get squashed? It has to happen, you know, seeing as giant robots are walking round, blowing each other up. I think that would be good to see.
I think you might be right.

Só espero que o Devastator seja um gestalt...

Hollywood Steps Lightly: Spielberg and Soft Diplomacy in the Middle East

A major milestone quietly passed last weekend: the first major Hollywood film in decades filmed in the heart of the Middle East. “Transformers II” turned its cameras at the Pyramids in Egypt, and again in the upper Egyptian town of Luxor, near the famed Valley of the Kings. This is significant for many reasons but mainly because it represents a rare move by two Hollywood studios, Paramount and DreamWorks, to connect to a country and culture that is perceived to be hostile the United States.

I say ‘perceived’ because my guess is you’d probably find no more avid fans elsewhere in the world than those clustered around Shia LeBeouf, the star of the film, in this part of the world. But after years of anti-American images in the Middle East, and years of entrenched mistrust, this is the kind of interaction – and publicity - that makes a difference. I hear from sources within the studio that DreamWorks was “petrified” when producers got clearance to shoot at the pyramids and in Luxor, and that LeBeouf was hesitant but decided to take the leap. (I agreed to hold this news until production had been safely completed.)

Hesitation is certainly comprehensible. Even before 9-11, Hollywood studios and major stars were reluctant to set foot in the Middle East. Luxor was the site of a major terrorist attack in 1997, in which some 60 European tourists were massacred by anti-Western gunmen in a horrific bloodletting. And since 9-11, A-list stars were hard to lure anywhere outside the United States. Usually Morocco would pass for anywhere in the Middle East, if it wasn’t Arizona.

There’s more afoot. Another quiet milestone on the road to cultural cooperation with the Middle East passed last month. In 2006 Steven Spielberg was approached by King Abdullah of Jordan to enlist the director’s help in creating a film school for the region. (They’ve known each other since Indiana Jones went thundering on horseback down a mile-long crevice to emerge in front of the temple of Petra, shot on location.) The school, the Red Sea Institute of Cinematic Arts in Aqaba, opened in September of this year to no publicity at all. The University of Southern California, where Spielberg is a major donor, signed on as a consultant to create a curriculum for 25 masters’ students from around the region, including Egypt, Kuwait and Iran. The university has recruited instructors too. I’m told that original plans called for Israeli students to be included, but that security conditions ultimately made this impossible. The hope is for Israeli students to be included in future semesters. This is the way to win over hearts and minds in the Middle East -- that “soft diplomacy” we hear so much about from Washington and policy wonks, and see so little of.

In the end, “Transformers II” shot for several days, bringing together a crew of 150 Americans and several dozen local Egyptians for an effort that producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who called from a cellphone while standing beside the pyramids, told me was “remarkably smooth.”

Eis que o Sr. Orci respondeu a umas perguntas dos fans:

Will Primus be mentioned? The answer to this: "Perhaps... certainly some form of deep back story and mythology will be important."

About Soundwave: Roberto Orci confirms that "all signs point to yes" on several of the traits that make Soundwave what he is making it into the Movie. This includes the monotone vocoder voice, his loyalty to Megatron and his minions such as Ravage.

Staying on the topic of Soundwave and Ravage, Bob commented on the leaked concept art of Soundwave, and stated that the "concept art appears to imply it is Ravage who is a truck, no?" (Although the robot mode sketch has a clearly visible truck grill in the waist - what could this mean? Speculate on our 2005 Boards!)

Roberto also addressed the question of if there will be evil humans "Certainly, not every human will be on their side."

In closing, a few final comments from Mr Orci about what to look forward to in the new movie - for example, Optimus Prime "hasn't changed a bit!" from his humble and self-sacrificing personality presented in the first film. Also, with regards to how the writing process has worked for this sequel: "we start with the characters we know we have to have and start by imagining what they'd be up to two years later if we were merely thinking realistically, and we go from there."

Quanto á leaked image do Soundwave (a qual é falsa segundo o Orci , pois ele afirmou anteriomente que o soundwave NÃO é uma pickup), cá está ela:

Exclusive Transformers 2 Images
On set with Bay's blockbuster sequel

If there's one film out next year that sums up the word 'blockbuster' it's Michael Bay's monster sequel to 2007's Transformers. It's perhaps appropriate then that Transformers 2 kick starts our big 2009 preview feature in the latest issue of Empire (on sale now).

You can read all about our exclusive visit to the Cairo set of the film in the issue and, in the meantime, cast your eyes down to see some exclusive new images from the film.

LaBeouf, Fox really under fire in 'Transformers 2'

Transformers stars Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox again play civilian kids Sam and Mikaela, who know the secrets of the heroic Autobots (led by good-guy leader Optimus Prime).

This time, the story finds Sam and Mikaela under attack by the evil Decepticons because of something Sam has learned about the origins of the Transformers and their ancient history on Earth.

To acquire this knowledge, the invading Decepticons need to capture Sam instead of kill him. Meanwhile, the U.S. military and an international coalition has united with the good-guy Autobots to fight back the villains' attack.

Some of the most important newcomers are in the robot cast: Decepticons Soundwave, a fearsome communications expert, and Devastator, whose arms and legs are built out of other Transformers. And on the Autobots' side is Jetfire, a villain whose age and broken-down physicality leads him to help the Autobots.

"It's not Shakespeare," LaBeouf jokes.

During one scene shooting in New Mexico, Fox and LaBeouf flee an ancient temple while villainous Decepticons stomp and crush their way through a village in pursuit.

LaBeouf and Fox are supposed to run toward the line of tanks and soldiers blasting guns at the giant robots above and behind them — to be added later as digital effects.

Racing into gunfire is instinctively daunting, but the actors say it's easy to find motivation when enormous gasoline bombs and packs of dynamite are sending up walls of flame and clouds of debris behind them.

"It makes you run fast because you are genuinely terrified," Fox says, looking sun-baked and weary. "And you still feel blanks. With that many guns going off, you don't really know."

It requires an act of faith in the troops who are aiming machine guns toward them.

"I've got 75 military officers firing at me, and I have shrapnel falling on my head that's bigger than my arms. It's hard to be normal," LaBeouf says, sweating after several hours of running and diving in the sand.

"Not that we don't trust (special effects coordinator James D.) Schwalm and the boys," he adds. "But even an eyelash flying at you at 700 miles an hour will cut you. You're running past them, and your clearance is only about 10 feet. These dudes are moving, and if one trips or falls and we run into the muzzle of a blank, that could blow your chest open or burn you."

The danger leads to camaraderie on set between stars and servicemembers. At the conclusion of one sequence, a soldier who spent the blazing day crouched in full battle gear beside a Humvee asks Fox and LaBeouf for an autograph as they pass, apologizing almost shyly as they take his pen and paper.

"What are you (expletive) sorry for?" LaBeouf says and starts signing right away.

Suddenly, a half-dozen other soldiers gather around, extending pens and paper.

Transformers' breaks out the big guns for sequel

WHITE SANDS MISSILE RANGE, N.M. — The United States military has declared war on giant, shape-shifting alien robots.

Amid blinding platinum dunes baking in the 105-degree sun, scores of elite servicemen and women cluster in and around real tanks, rocket launchers and personnel carriers as they unleash a machine-gun barrage at an invisible (and entirely fictional) enemy: Transformers.
These troops, many of them recently returned from the actual life-and-death realities of Iraq and Afghanistan, aren't professional actors. But for the moment, they are the stars and this is the climactic battle of next summer's sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

"I'm convinced. If we were to actually fight Transformers, this is how we would do it," jokes Lt. Col. Francisco "Paco" Hamm, the Air Force liaison to the film, who oversees the use of the branch's humans and hardware.

The U.S. Department of Defense gave its official stamp of approval to the Michael Bay-directed film, not only allowing production amid the pristine dunes of the Army's New Mexico missile range, but also letting filmmakers follow jets and fighter planes through the sky from nearby Holloman Air Force Base. More scenes were shot on the Navy's aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis, and Marines fill the ranks of the strike team battling the invading Transformers.

The DOD has long seen benefit in joining forces with Hollywood, though its participation depends on script approval. The Pentagon demands some measure of realism — at least in how the military behaves, despite the giant robots. And it expects the films it partners on to shed a generally positive light on the service.

Movies such as Top Gun, regarded as a major boost for recruitment in its day, and the recent Robert Downey Jr. blockbuster Iron Man received military cooperation. Films that are darker or more critical, such as A Few Good Men, are on their own.

One reason the military cooperates with filmmakers is to provide a boost to the rank-and-file, Hamm says. "The morale level goes through the roof. There's nothing like an airman taking his family out to Transformers and watching the kids see something their father or mother does on the big screen."

Borrowing machines and men

What makes the sequel to 2007's Transformers different from other Defense Department movie partnerships is scale.

The film's Army liaison, Lt. Col. Gregory Bishop, notes: "As far as I know, this is the biggest joint military operation movie ever made, in terms of Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines. I can't think of one that's bigger."

Among the equipment the movie is using in this desert sequence alone: two A-10 Thunderbolt II "Warthog" tank-killing jets; six F-16 Fighting Falcons; 10 armored Humvees; the Army's Golden Knights parachute team; two Abrams tanks; two Bradley tanks; two missile-launcher vehicles; two armored personnel carriers; and a quarter-mile of the missile testing range, cleared of unexploded ordnance and built into an Egyptian town and temple. (Signs warn not to cross a perimeter just over the gypsum dunes, because live bombs could be hidden in the sand.)

Among the most important military assets, however, are the off-duty enlisted men and women paid to be extras or play bit parts, Hamm says. "They are absolutely loving it. It's a great opportunity for them. Not only do they get to be in the movie, but they get to showcase what they can do. When Michael Bay's directing them, they know all the basics of their weapons and what they're actually supposed to do, so it's easier for filmmakers to direct the scene because they're real soldiers and airmen."

So many people are firing so many guns that civilian crew workers go through between shots, gathering up buckets full of empty brass shell casings. Having so many scattered around clutters later shots, and the workers say they can trade them in as scrap and get enough money for a few cases of beer.

There's a standard rivalry between the Air Force and Army, but it's even more intense in this part of New Mexico, with the Army's White Sands Base and the Air Force's Holloman so close to each other. The military extras split into camps favoring the two main military characters: Josh Duhamel's Army Ranger Capt. Lennox and Tyrese Gibson's Air Force Master Sgt. Epps.

Gibson taunts Duhamel that he's the one with the promotion this time, from tech sergeant in the original. "They moved me up in rank," he says. "I felt like in the first film we were following him and chasing him around. Now, I break down all the coordinates and let them know where to drop bombs and bring the rain."

Duhamel says the leader they're all following, military and actors alike, is Bay, who is known for such large-scale blow-'em-up popcorn movies as Armageddon and Pearl Harbor, both films that also had large military elements.

"He's like a big kid who loves to do stuff like this," Duhamel says, gesturing with his arms to indicate a massive explosion.

'The run of things' on base

The final battle the military is helping Bay create is supposed to be an enormous firefight in Egypt, but much of it is being shot in the White Sands dunes in a town built over the roughly quarter-mile cleared span. There are rundown, mud-brick homes and shops, and along the edge of the town, a giant temple with smokestack-sized columns — all of it built so it could be blown up.

After completing work in New Mexico, the cast and crew moved to Giza for scenes at the actual pyramids, getting first-time access to the 5,000-year-old site from the Egyptian government. "It plays a big plot point," Bay says, noting that they were allowed to shoot on the pyramids — not just around them.

No foreign government would allow a U.S. military force like the one Bay assembled to march in, guns blazing, fighter jets swooping overhead, which is why so much of the climactic sequence had to be done in the USA, preferably on military property.

"They let us do the run of things," Bay says. "We have so many military assets because this is a great middle ground between a bunch of bases. Plus, this is a missile range — we can just fire into the set. It's a great place."

The Army allowed the M1 tanks to fire dummy rounds, which count as training for the tank operators, into the set. Bay, though, was angling for live ones. The studio has to reimburse the U.S. Treasury for live munitions and other requests for troops or equipment that unit commanders don't consider to be valid battle simulation or part of military training, Bishop says.

Jets are the hardest thing for moviemakers to procure, and producers have to negotiate with multiple layers of Air Force brass to allow planes on training missions to do flyovers during filming — often as Hollywood-rigged strafing fire is set off below.

During this shoot, an F-22 Raptor roars by like a mechanical arrowhead, blasting the earth with the banshee scream of its engines. It circles the set dozens of times before heading off to complete its scheduled training.

In the movie, the F-22 will become the machine-shape of the Decepticon Starscream. "Well, you know," Hamm says, "somebody's got to play the bad guy!"
As evening draws near, the sun sets off its own pyrotechnic show above the distant mountains, and Bay is setting up his final shot of the day: a massive battle sequence involving all the military vehicles and dozens of troops.

The only problem: Everybody wants to get in the shot, so rooftops are jammed with soldiers. "Too many lookeeloos!" Bay bellows through his bullhorn.

Bishop looks up at one house with about 20 soldiers on top, clutching their machine guns, and says, "You'd be a real high-value target. You know what that means? It means I could kill a lot of you with just one shot, one grenade. Spread out!"
He tells some to move to a less conspicuous place. They're the unlucky ones; they won't easily spot themselves on-screen when the movie comes out.

"Plausibility!" Bishop bellows. "It has to be realistic!"
Army Sgt. Matt Hibbert, holding a prop sniper rifle, calls down: "But sir, this is Hollywood! I'm shooting at invisible aliens and firing a gun that never runs out of ammo!"

Bishop bursts out laughing and lets him stay.

Ainda quanto ao artigo de ontem na revista Empire:

- Bay and LaBeouf confirm the Fallen is a separate character.
- Egyptian hieroglyphics ...turn out to be depictions of Transformers who visited Earth.
- Bay claims Megatron is not coming back and the tank is just a new toy.
- Around 40 robots.
- Budget is $200 million.
- Ramon Rodriguez is the one holding on for dear life to a pole while cars are flung.
- Devastator appears at the pyramid, he's probably 50 feet tall because that's the height of the camera crane they used on location.

Uma nota curiosa quanto ao hieroglifos egipcios que mostram no filme ser transformers, estes são verdadeiros

I shit you not, eles encontam-se no templo de Osiris em Abydos:

There are some very strange hieroglyphics in the Temple of Osiris at Abydos. According to many UFO enthusiasts and Atlantis proponents, these glyphs depict highly developed crafts, specifically a helicopter, a submarine, some form of flying saucer, and a jet plane.

Temos finalmente um resumo do que se sabe para os preguiçosos(como eu):

- As a picture below shows, confirmation that Shia's hand injury was written into the movie.
- Story plot is for the Decepticons to capture Sam due to information he "learned about the origins of the Transformers and their ancient history of Earth."
- To counter Decepticon goes, "the US military and an international coalition has united with the good-guy Autobots." (This explains Matthew Marsden's role in the movie).
- Decepticon Soundwave is the "fearsome communications expert." (Nothing about alt mode).
- "...Devastator, whose arms and legs are built out of other Transformers." (This appears to confirm the gestalt rumor, but no details on how many TFs it takes to form him)
- "...Jetfire, a villain whose age and broken-down physicality leads him to help the Autobots." (Verifies that he will follow the G1 arc of joining the good guys and that he will likely have a crutch of sorts).
- New Mexico filming was for a plot point about running from "ancient temple while villainous Decepticons stomp and crush their way through a village in pursuit" and into a "line of tanks and soldiers blasting guns at the giant robots above and behind them."
- "Not that we don't trust (special effects coordinator James D.) Schwalm and the boys," he adds. "But even an eyelash flying at you at 700 miles an hour will cut you. You're running past them, and your clearance is only about 10 feet. Transformers 2 Rumor Confirmed
Screenwriter reveals a new kind of Transformer seen in Revenge of the Fallen.

US, January 14, 2009 - Tonight, IGN caught up with screenwriter Roberto Orci at FOX's party during the Television Critics Association press tour, where he was present to support his series Fringe, which he co-created with J.J. Abrams and Alex Kurtzman. Having written the first Transformers film, Orci and Kurtzman returned to work on this summer's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and Orci gave us a few more hints on what to expect, including confirmation on a rumor from last fall about a certain kind of Transformer making its debut in the new film. Those avoiding all SPOILERS on the film should look away now...

IGN: Last time we spoke, you revealed that Soundwave was in the movie and hinted at the possibility of Ravage, so I'm wondering if you can say anything more about what new characters will be in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Orci: So I said Ravage... maybe?

IGN: Pretty much, yeah.

Orci: [As if giving a big reveal] Ravage!

IGN: [Laughs] Damn, I should have told you that you said Ravage for sure!

Orci: Hmm… I'll give you an exclusive here. There is a Pretender. I'm going to get killed for saying that.

IGN: Well thank you for taking one just for us.

Orci: All for you.

IGN: Storywise, how does the sequel compare to the first one?

Orci: It's an extreme [jump] from the first one. The outrageous, crazy humor is more outrageous, but then so is the serious side of it and so is the stakes of the Transformers plot and the seriousness with which some of their mythology is treated. So it kind of swings wildly between those two extremes, and that I think was one of the successful parts of the first movie. Again, some of the die hard fans will be equally annoyed at some of the things they see, but I can also say they will be more gratified than they were for the first one, to see how some of the Transformers story and how their battle takes place in the second one.

IGN: There was a leaked image the other day of a Sideswipe toy. I don't even know if Sideswipe is in the movie, since the toys sometimes include extra characters, but the look of this toy was more like the original Transformers than the first film. On the design side, are the Transformers looking the same in this one, or are there some tweaks?

Orci: Well, you know, your favorites – Optimus and Bumblebee – look the same. Some of the new Transformers coming up, even the old Transformers that we had, have benefited from the fact that -- I actually heard this from ILM -- because they had all the rendering and the stuff from the first movie, they were able to get much more specific and articulate with their range of motion and emotions in the second movie, which has a bigger budget and it has all that research and development sunk into the original models. So there's going to be more articulation of the characters facially, so I'm looking forward to seeing that. I have not seen how far they've taken it.

O Orci passou pelos foruns do Don Murphy e respondeu a umas perguntas dos fans:) :

would you say that di Bonaventura’s latest comment that there are “40-odd” robots is a gross exaggeration?
No.

Will the name "Spike" be uttered by anyone in TF2?
No.

if the decepticons are in fact mostly CGI, would that give you greater flexibility in terms of rewrites, or not? would it also mean that ILM can still tweak their designs even till now?
It does give us some freedom. We can even add a scene or two, if need be, which we are mulling over.

now that you've had chance to (hopefully!) devote more screen time to him, how do you feel about the character of Starscream?
He has a much more g1 feel, finally.

Are these scenes which add and help the plot? Serve the fanbase some fanboy goodness? Or are to help with the humor aspect?
Serve fan boy goodness. One of the scenes we're mulling over was Bay's idea, and he pitched it as, "you and the fans are gonna love this..."

Will the camera angles & editing be a bit more steady in TF2? In TF1, people often felt the scenes involving the actual Transformers, where too chopped up to get a clear idea of what's onscreen. I mean, imo the better martial arts movies employ static camera's and continuous editing ; not needing quick edit cuts and weird angles to hide any potential shortcoming. Similar principle would apply to Transformers onscreen, right?
Yes, quite often. (I second this, please end the constant redux of the Bourne movies style. Quantum of Solace's taking it to the nth degree to horrible effect should finally put that filming style to bed.)

do you consider yourself a fanboy and are there things that you get giddy and excited about seeing, that when Bay says "alright cool..lets do it" or when he suggests fanboyish ideas that you think to yourself... "fuck yeah...this is gonna be awesome" and do you have a backlog of fanboyish ideas sitting in the back of your mind incase a good opportunity arises?
I think I am half and half. When Bay pitches a cool idea, he can sometimes get my inner fan boy going, but my professional screenwriter mind has to remain critical and active. Weird balance. If I weren't in this profession, I would be all fan boy.

So,

The Super Bowl spot is coming Sunday in the third Quarter (few minutes into the quarter slot). The spot will be online a few minutes after that - The full length teaser trailer will only be on Friday the Thirteenth. It will not hit the internet until a week later. The Teaser really only teases stuff - I'm holding so much stuff back from the final trailers because I personally hate going to movies where you have seen it all.

Tell me what you think,

Michael

e ai têm, tal como prometido este domingo temos um teaser, alguns minutos depois estará online, com o "Friday the Thirteenth" dia 13 de Fevereiro temos o teaser completo e depois é esperar por um trailer a sério :)

Although the Fallen's origins are only suggested in his comic book appearance, they would be fully explained in Dorling Kindersley's Transformers: The Ultimate Guide. One of the original thirteen Transformers created by Primus, the robot who would become the Fallen betrayed his creator by siding with Primus's dark twin, the malevolent planet-eater Unicron. In the final battle between Primus and Unicron, the Fallen fell victim to the same fate as his master, sucked through a black hole into another dimension. However, while Unicron emerged in another universe, the Fallen was not so fortunate, finding himself trapped in the "underspace" between dimensions.

On other news... durante a toyfare deste ano, foi feito um panel de perguntas e respostas com o Brian Goldner (Hasbro CEO), TF Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Tyrese Gibson e o Director Michael Bay.

WC: Michael, the first movie was such an amazing success how is Revenge of the Fallen going to be different?
MB: From learning the mythos, to figuring out how to make the robots transform on the big screen, the first movie involved a lot of discovery. In addition, it was a story about a boy getting his first car and finding his first girl friend. The second movie is a coming of age story, encompassing global issues, and bringing the robots to a new level. If every boy in the world didn’t want a Bumblebee in his garage from the first movie, they will from the second. All of the robots in this film are superhero tough. I’ll tell you I am very passionate about this film.
LdB: Yes, in the first movie, boy gets car, boy finds girl, but this one really explores the idea of responsibility as Sam leaves for college. He thinks he wants to lead a normal college life but finds out some of his decisions don’t work out so well for not only him, but also the whole world.

WC: ...how does this film evolve the mythology?
BG: We all know that everyone is hungry for the next level of mythos, so we really want everyone to wonder what Revenge of the Fallen means.
LdB: It is a very deep mythology and most people just don’t know how deep it is.
MB: Yes, this film will satisfy all types of fans as I have included my trademark humor, more intimacy with the humans and robots, and Moms will think it is safe enough to bring the kids back out to the movies.
TG: The humor often times is created on the spot. Something happens on the set and Michael lets us keep it in the film. I know I still get comments from kids about my “left cheek”. I don’t know if that will ever go away and that was a spontaneous comment that just came out when we were filming the first film.

RA: Special effects software and camera technology have made advancements since the first film. How has this empowered you to further realize your vision for Revenge?
MB: The developments in technology have allowed us to have the robots show emotion. This is a robot movie and this new technology allows us to explore a greater depth of personality from these characters.

RA: No other director has the kind of relationship that you have developed with the US Military. What piece of hardware did you get access to that are you most excited about for this coming film?
MB: It’s like I have a direct line to the Pentagon. This is the first movie where actual F16’s have made a bombing run on a movie set and coordinated with special effects explosions. We were on a working nuclear submarine and working aircraft carrier. The military loved the first movie. It really helped with recruiting and promoting a positive image for them. Now they are happy to do just about anything they can for my films. We also found out that in Afghanistan the Buffalo(s) (Bonecrusher vehicle from the first movie) have all been nicknamed different Transformers characters by their personnel. We also worked with tanks firing real rounds and you have not lived until you have heard an actual tank firing. We have so much access - I am appreciative and excited about all the military vehicles we use.

RA: Filming at the pyramids must have been amazing! What were the greatest challenges you faced?
MB: This is the first time in 30 years that anyone has filmed at the pyramids and the first time ever anyone has filmed from the top of Petra. Steven filmed Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade from the base of Petra. It took 21 very heavy helicopter loads to get all our gear to the top. We had all the access we wanted in Egypt as we found out that the head of Egyptian Antiquities Dr. Zahi Hawass is a big Transformers fan and was very helpful. We also filmed in the desert where Lawrence of Arabia was filmed. Very challenging conditions.

Perguntas e respostas no forum do Don Murphy ao Sr. Roberto Orci (writer):

Is Ravage the only minion palling around with Soundwave this time around?
not exactly...

Any truth to the rumor that Starscream is an independent player in ROTF?
no

Any chance of another full trailer which might reveal more to the story than it's tone? It did a great job of showing off the frantic pace and darker vibes, but very little by way of story. Any revelations coming?
Yeah, I'm sure another trailer is in the works that shows more of the story. Don't know when it'll be out. Maybe in front of Trek?

Hey Roberto, an admittedly long-winded question here. When I watch TF1 now, it always feels like it's split into 2 movies, the first half being more grounded in day to day reality, and the second being a little more high concept sci fi. I would call the Autobot arrival scene the transition between the 2 halves.
My question is do you think that TF2 will have a similar transition? Because from what I've seen so far, I think it might, but you just might know better than me.
Interesting question. In a sense, yes, because both movies have a structure where the world changes at the midpoint. In the first movie, that meant the full arrival of the autobots. In this movie, there is also a mid point that changes the movie. Very perceptive.

So when was the last bit of writing done for TF2 or are you still doing bot dialogue and such?
Oh yeah. Last bit was last week! We'll be working on it until the bitter end.

Having fun?
Yes. Except when we fight with Bay. But in retrospect, that's also part of the fun.

Haha fighting with Bay? that must be intense... Does it happen a lot?
Every time!

Who wins?
50/50. But only because there's three of us against 1!

A última peça que confirma o regresso do Decepticon Leader Megatron:

Um jornalista do Advertiser, jornal australiano conseguiu espremer informação do Hugo Weaving!

"Mega Secret
By Andrew Fenton
Film Writer, The Advertiser

In town to promote his rather excellent new Aussie film, "Last Ride", Hugo Weaving let slip he'll be returning as the voice of Megatron in "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen".

Fans no doubt will recall that when we last saw Megatron, Sam (Shia LaBeouf) had rammed the All Spark cube into his chest, thereby destroying him. Despite this certain death, rumours have been circulating the villain was going to make a comeback. Director Michael Bay went so far as to flatly deny the rumour, telling Empire: "He's not in the movie".

Turns out Bay was fibbing. "I've already done it," Weaving says, adding Bay had told him to keep the news hush-hush. "He's over in LA and we were working on the video split sort of thing and I had this strange conversation where he seemed to imply it was all a big secret. So there you go - I've given you the secret scoop."

So how is Megatron resurrected? Weaving is coy about revealling too much, but does give a tiny hint.

"I think in the last one, doesn't Optimus Prime pick up a little bit of, a shard of the cube, or the thing that's left, and he takes it with him. Maybe there's something there... but I don't know," he laughs.

We'll find out on June 25, the film's Australian release."

Okay cat is out of the bag. Megatron is back ---- but you will only get to see him from the long lost past. We go way back in time as this movie explains the mythology of the Primes. He is not a tank like everyone suggests, but an alien vehicle. But sadly he does not has much screen time.

Finalmente alguma informação sobre o Soundwave, infelizmente é pouca pois é a Bio resumida que vem na parte de trás do Brinquedo:

http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/3185/tf2soundwavebio.th.jpg (http://img7.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tf2soundwavebio.jpg)

"Stationed in orbit above Earth, Soundwave swiftly taps into every satellite in range. Within minutes, communications, data traffic, weather information, and high-resolution spy photography flood his sensor net. The spill of data fills him with pleasure, and one by one, the humans' systems come under his complete control. From his seat on high, he is in a position to control the destiny of mankind without their knowledge...or to run their civilization into the ground."

Hey Bob, what are your feelings towards the idea of Leonard Nimoy doing the voice of the Fallen?

- Would love it. I actually talked to him about it, given the odd coincidence that he is Michael Bay's cousin through marriage, but fan outcry has also put Frank Welker in the running.

- Additionally, in Revenge of the Fallen, the only reason that returning big bad Megatron is not renamed Galvatron was for the sake of the general audience.

Quanto ao primeiro filme ainda comentou:

Movie 1 was the hardest thing they have ever worked on. Period. Nobody could imagine what it was, everyone thought it was just a silly cartoon or a toy commercial, the studio wasn't sure if the robots should talk, we had to come up with a story that would attract someone like Bay, and we had budgetary constraints that made it necessary to generate a significant human story which was counterintuitive to some Transfans. By the second movie, the paradigm of the franchise was clear.

...e eis que pela primeira vez um Megatron destruido e com subsequente upgrade e corpo renovado não se vai chamar Galvatron :P

MAIS perguntas respondidas aos fans pelos foruns:

Will Barricade's disappearance be explained in ROTF?
Explained is a very specific kinda word... implied may be more like it

Will you guys seriously rethink about staying on?
Time for fresh blood!

Just to be clear, what is your reason for not writing it? If the other main players comes back and they don't see a need for fresh blood, then why would you?
Not clear who is coming back yet, but the main reason we would move on is because we risk getting stale and comfortable. If you only sing one song for too long, you miss the opportunity to sing news songs. We'll see.

who thought of the name for the movie? you, michael bay, alex, or someone else?
Alex.

how many fans do you think saw past Michael's "no Megatron" announcement? And second, is he aware that his comment about Megs only appearing in a flashback kind of contradicts Hugo Weaving's hint that the Allspark shard has something to do with Megatron's resurrection?
god love him

Did the fallen enslave the Egyptians to build the pyramids
Hmm. Getting warm

Did the Egyptians seal the fallen within his own design?
Also very warm but not quite.

Did you ever intend for Blackout and Brawl to speak?
Yes.

Would you consider a giant battle in the Grand Canyon?
We actually had a giant battle in the Grand Canyon in the very first draft of the first movie.

Is there really still time to add stuff and how much stuff can be added at this point?
On the first movie, we were re-writing dialogue until about 2 weeks before release!

can you let us know how many Autobots can fly in the movie?
very few

I know very early in development Mike Bay said that there would be a geriatric robot. Was it already set there and then that Jetfre would be that bot, or did you and the writers/Bay decide later that Jetfire would suit that type of character?
We decided Jetfire would fit after the idea came up to have a geriatric robot.

Would you consider this movie the "Empire Strikes Back" of the Transformer movie line?
yes

Bay mentioned in passing that about 40 bots are in the movie. Sound about right or less/more?
sounds about right

Will The Fallen have any dialogue?
Yes.

Can you name the 3 scenes that were filmed in IMAX format?
Yes.

Will Prime survive the movie?
Prime's spirit can never die.

Did you decide to not have Megatron renamed Galvatron for the general audience?
yes.

Similarly, did you intend Sideways (Audi R8 ) to be Barricade?
We'll see

In a small change of pace from toys only news is a little soundtrack information for Transformers 2. Travis Barker, drummer for Blink-182, twittered (twitted? tweeted? whatever) that he is working on a song for the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Soundtrack.

Listening to a new version of a track I'm playing on for Busta Rhymes for the Transformers 2 soundtrack. Shit is jammin'.
So far that is all I could find on this subject. I am not sure if that means he and Busta Rhymes are working together on a track or if he was just sampling it for the rapper. Nor if the track is a solo effort from Barker or for the entire band. Thanks to Alan for the heads-up.

Update: Based on reading various websites, it seems the overall interpretation of the above is that Busta Rhymes is working on a track with an assist by Travis Barker. According to Alan, Barker worked on hip hop remixes with his drums replacing the beat Probably the track list to the soundtrack will come out by the end of April.

mehh, espero que seja algo de jeito e agressivo ou que não esteja no filme

Entrevista aos escritores do guião Orci e Kurtzman (spoiler alert ;) ):

Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, who co-wrote the upcoming sequel film Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, talked with SCI FI Wire exclusively about coming up with the new story, about what robots you might see and about possibly getting Leonard Nimoy to voice a character.

The writers spoke with SCI FI Wire exclusively last week in Los Angeles. Following is an edited version of our interview about Transformers, which opens June 24.

You guys were not originally going to write the sequel. Is that right?

Orci: Correct.

What changed your mind?

Kurtzman: Well, we resisted it for a while, because ... the first movie was so ... tough to find, you know? Everyone always asked us, "Well, what is it? Is it a cartoon?" They just couldn't imagine what it was, and we kind of felt like we were to some degree improvising our way through it. And then we found it, and felt like we had somehow, just couldn't imagine replicating it.

And then when there was this immediate mandate after the movie did well to do another movie, we felt all the same kind of "Wow." We just felt like we got away with robbing a bank, so we probably can't do that twice, you know? And ... we didn't want to throw ourselves .

Whatever we write, we always own and throw so much of ourselves into that we just couldn't get there without believing in the story. And the story was not immediately obvious to us. And ... they really wanted us to do it. And we said, "We just can't do it until we know what this is."

We spent a lot of time thinking about the sequels that we really loved as kids. You know, Aliens and Terminator 2 and Wrath of Khan and Empire Strikes Back and Superman 2. The thing that all of those movies had in common were that they stood on their own as films. If you didn't see the first movie, you could walk into those movies and experience what was wonderful about them. And the main characters were tested in some very fundamental way. And that was kind of the, you know, that's what led us to figuring out what we wanted to do with the sequel.

Orci: Yeah, it was both that and we were afraid we were not going to have literally the time to do it. The [writers'] strike was looming, we were in the middle of [writing] Star Trek, etc. So when they agreed to give us help in the form of Ehren Kruger [The Skeleton Key, The Ring 2], who is fantastic, we realized the three of us really could do it and not just phone it in. That it would be, hopefully, a professionally worthy successor. ...
[B]
When you say the central character's put to the test, clearly we're talking about Sam [Shia LaBeouf] here, right?

Orci: And [Optimus] Prime. ...

And you had a mandate to develop a bigger movie?

Kurtzman: That doesn't really mean anything to us, honestly. Like, we always get to the action last. The action is born of whatever challenges your characters are facing. It's sort of like a musical, you know? The old rule about musicals is ... if the song wasn't moving the story forward or you could tell the story without the song, then it's not really a musical. And same goes for action sequences here. So a lot of it was just figuring out where we wanted to pick up with Sam, and once we started figuring out the story, the action sequences really started falling in place quickly.

Orci: The theme started coming out of Sam leaving home, now. It's two years later, he's going to college. ... What are the responsibilities and the cutting off that goes on when you leave home? And that mirrors the fact the Transformers themselves are away from home. And in a new home. And what are your responsibilities as you kind of step out into the world on your own without your support system? ...

It sort of started coming out of that very real place. Again, the first one was about ... [the] child getting his first car and how that leads you to adulthood and sexuality and all these kinds of things. It's a very simple [story]. A lot of people say, "Oh, it's a classic cliche." Well, it's a cliche because we all go through it. And it's the same with ... heading off to college and letting your parents go and becoming the adult and trying to find out who you are and ... what you're going to do with the rest of your life.

Talk about the process of deciding what robots to keep, what robots to add. There are so many of these characters that you have to pick from. How do you winnow them down, how do you add the new ones, integrate them?

Orci: Well, the easier one, obviously, is the fact that we inherit certain ones from the previous movie and from the fact that Prime and Bumblebee are kind of the two front-and-center relationships. ... In terms of villains, it was again going back to all the source material. ... We got a bunch of the comics again, we got a bunch of the old cartoons, and just started looking for kind of the most elemental bad guy that kind of jumped off the material, and we found one in the Fallen.

And you've got to bring Megatron back.

Orci: Exactly. But part of it, too, was because of the oddity of the strike, what happened before the strike is that Alex and I and Ehren wrote up kind of a 20-page treatment of ... kind of, basically, the moves of the movie. And so many of the robots were selected there. But then many of them were also selected during the strike while we couldn't do anything, as a matter of necessity, by Hasbro and by [director] Michael Bay for some of the action sequences. They literally had to start designing somebody. And they were prohibited by the law from calling us and saying, "Who should that other somebody be?" So it was a mixture of the characters that we had in our treatment and some of the characters that were designed specifically for the movie for production.

Jolt? ...

Orci: It's Volt. I've read it as Jolt on the 'net, but as far as we're concerned, it's Volt. ... That's ... electric car. ...

There's some of these things, like, we're still deciding their names. ... There's just a million. What's the name of the gigantic first one that you see? ...

Kurtzman: Wheelbot. ...

Jetfire, RC, Mudflap on the Autobot side?

Orci: Yeah, right. Jetfire was in the treatment. Mudflap might have been one of those in-betweeners. ...

On the Decepticon side, Starscream, Soundwave, the Fallen and then the Constructicons, which are several different ones: Demolisher, Hightower, Long Haul, Mixmaster, Rampage and Scrapper?

Orci: That's them.

So they're all there?

Orci: Yeah.

There's still more, right? I mean, there's others?

Orci: There are. ...

Kurtzman: That's the challenge with these movies in a lot of ways, actually, is ... there's always kind of a mandate to put more and more and more in, but how do you ... distinguish them, and how do they somehow not detract from the overall experience of getting to know the robots?

Orci: Ultimately, too, when you're in an intergalactic war, it's sort of like saying, ... "How many stormtroopers were there in Star Wars?" Well, you know, [George] Lucas went back and digitally added another 300 in every scene. You're not going to get to know them all.

Well, he got around that by making them all the same person.

Orci: That's true. That's true.

You've got a girl robot for the first time, Arcee. Do you ever deal with why she's a girl robot, or is that just one of those things?

Orci: We may still, as we go through and see the final finals, but we've gone back and forth on that. ... Some of the fans debating, "Oh, man, if there's some lame explanation I'm going to hate it" versus "They'd better explain it." So. We'll see how it ends up. We honestly have things in our back pocket; we'll see which one works better.

And you, Bob, were quoted as saying you were trying to get Leonard Nimoy to do the Fallen?

Orci: He originally was the voice in the animated movie, and at one of the conventions, Alex and I actually spoke to him about it, and he's like, "Yeah, I'd be open to that." But it'll be Michael's decision.

Have you talked with Michael about that?

Orci Oh, sure. ... He's like, "Hmm." And we're like, "You know you're cousins, right?" [Nimoy's wife is Michael Bay's cousin.]

There was also some talk about Frank Welker, the original voice of Megatron, and whether he'd actually end up in the movie after all?

Orci: Exactly, and I think they're in the middle of hashing that out. We'll see who we get.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' Robots Revealed

Excitement around "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," the sequel to the enormously successful 2007 movie, has been building steadily since we got our first glimpse of the action in the ad that played during the Super Bowl. Two weeks later the trailer was released, and it looked like director Michael Bay wasn't lying when he promised bigger and badder robots than in the first flick.

Now, to get the fans even more energized, Paramount Pictures has released to us the full list of all the giant robots that will appear in the new movie. Plus we have new photos with first looks at two of the evil Decepticons that will battle the heroic Autobots when the movie hits theaters this summer.

AUTOBOTS

OPTIMUS PRIME: The Autobots' leader - alternate form: Peterbilt truck (see photo).
IRONHIDE: Weapons specialist - GMC Topkick.
RATCHET: Medic - Hummer H2.
BUMBLEBEE: Friend and mode of transportation for Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) - 2010 Chevorlet Camaro.
ARCEE: A female Autobot - motorcycle.
JETFIRE: An older Decepticon who switches sides - SR71 Blackbird jet.
JOLT: the original toy was a Decepticon, but in the movie he's a good guy - Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid.
SKID & MUDFLAP: a.k.a. "The Twins" - Chevrolet Beat and Trax concept cars.

DECEPTICONS

STARSCREAM: Formerly Megatron's second in command, he escaped at the end of the first movie (see photo); F-22 Raptor jet.
SCORPONOK: The mechanical scorpion that attacked the American troops in the desert.
THE FALLEN: One of the original Transformers, he's called "the most elemental bad guy" by the screenwriters.
SIDEWAYS: The Audi R8 seen crashing through a building in the trailer.
SOUNDWAVE: A cassette player in the original toys; his alternate mode will fly.
RAVAGE: A four-legged, cat-like robot (see photo).
THE DOCTOR: Alternate form has not been announced.
WHEELIE: A small, radio-controlled truck.
DEMOLISHER: One of the Constructicons that transform into construction vehicles.
DEVASTATOR: A giant robot formed by the Constructicons joining together; individually, they are: Scavenger, Scrapper, Hightower, Longhaul, Rampage, Overload and Mixmaster.

Noticeably absent from the list is the Decepticon leader, Megatron, who was killed at the end of the previous movie and last seen being dumped in the ocean. Michael Bay denied that Megatron is in the movie, but actor Hugo Weaving said in an interview that he had recorded dialogue for the part. We'll see if and how he returns when "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" opens on June 24th.

Outro artigo que refere nomes e descrições bem como outros spoilers:

First look: Robo-brawlers big, small in new 'Transformers'

In Transformers lore, the mechanical jaguar Ravage has been a villain favorite since the 1980s for his stealthy tactics and deadly force. Ever since a four-legged mechanical beast prowled through the trailer for summer's sequel, Revenge of The Fallen, fans have been awaiting more word about the feline-ish Decepticon. As more robots in the June 24 movie are revealed, Ravage comes into focus.

"In the spirit of 'more than meets the eye,' Ravage isn't just lethal because of his sharp teeth," says screenwriter Alex Kurtzman. "There's actually another skill set Ravage has that didn't exist before, so there's going to be a surprise for fans."

This version of the cat already looks far different from the original, with a single glowing red eye and a swinging, mace-like tail, but his role will be similar to the 1980s cartoon and Hasbro toy — the ultimate spy.

Ravage often was dispatched to monitor the heroic Autobots and their human allies, reporting back to the Decepticons by transforming into a cassette tape and replaying his recordings through the larger robot master Soundwave, who switched into a Walkman-sized tape deck. (How a giant robot became a small piece of sound equipment was a comical hole in logic never fully explained.)

The cassette tape transformation is gone, of course; Ravage doesn't turn into anything. But Soundwave will appear, again serving as an evil communications expert but this time in the form of an orbiting space satellite.

"They are still connected," fellow screenwriter Roberto Orci says of Soundwave and his pet. "But rather than trying to hold onto a notion as antiquated as an audiotape, which some members of our audience have maybe never laid eyes on, we wanted to go a new way."

And Ravage, as before, won't speak like the other Transformers.

"We wanted to stay true to the idea that Decepticons who take visual clues from beasts maintain that," says Orci. "It would be strange to have a talking jaguar, or a scorpion with an English accent."

Filmmaker Michael Bay has ensured that Ravage has lots of company, including many redesigned favorite robots from the original 1980s incarnation, in the new film.

"We have big guys, some little guys. We have a lot of littler ones, too. Little weirder ones," Bay says. Like the Insecticons, which were giant bugs in the original series and Hasbro toy line, but are now tiny creepy-crawly infiltrators.

Bay, who collects the Vanguard Award Thursday night at ShoWest, offers a peek at others joining Optimus Prime and Bumblebee for another rock-'em, sock-'em robo-brawl.

AUTOBOTS (the good guys)

Jetfire:

As in the original, this fighter plane crash-landed on Earth a long time ago, and he will become a reformed Decepticon now fighting for the humans. His alternate form is the SR-71 Blackbird, the outdated but still-sleek Cold War spy plane.

"He's old, craggy, forgetful ... doesn't work very well. Can't transform very well, because he's very geriatric. They get stuck with him a lot," Bay says. "He knows the plan of the bad guys, but he forgets all the good parts of the plan."

New recruits:

Sideswipe, a candy-apple red Lamborghini in the original, joins the cast this time as General Motor's silver Corvette Stingray concept car. Jolt is a new foot soldier, played in four-wheel form by the Volt, a forthcoming Chevy hybrid plug-in. Two of GM's other concept cars (the Trax and Beat) play The Twins, nicknamed Skids and Mudflap.

"Some of the junior Transformers are just dumb," Bay says with a laugh. "But it's great for kids because they're like the Little Engine That Could. They're (screw)-ups, but they get really heroic at the end."

For the gals:

Arcee is the only female and turns up as Megan Fox's hot-pink motorcycle. Co-screenwriters Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci say she was in an early draft of the first movie. "But we felt we needed to win the audience over before asking for that suspension of disbelief: a feminine alien robot," Kurtzman says.

DECEPTICONS (the bad guys)

The title character:

The Fallen is an ancient robot, sort of the Transformers' version of Lucifer. He's one of the original robot aliens, and his defiance and arrogance led to his banishment into another dimension.

The screenwriters say that The Fallen holds the key to life on both Earth and Cybertron, the Transformers' home planet.

Other troublemakers:

A smaller, but no less malevolent Decepticon is known as The Doctor — a spider-like droid that transforms into various implements of torture and has a not-so-nice encounter with star Shia LaBeouf.

Then there's a giant one called Demolishor, and another tinier one with the sportier name of Wheelie.

Constructicons:

These seven robots — Scavenger, Scrapper, Hightower, Longhaul, Rampage, Overload and Mixmaster — transform into construction machinery, but also link up with one another to form one gigantic robot stomper named Devastator.

"He's made of vehicles designed to build, and he turns into is someone who loves to destroy," Orci says. "He is an agent of absolute chaos."

Bay says Devastator is the crème de la smash and got a uncharacteristic reaction out of the film's executive producer already.

"Spielberg saw it and said, 'This is (expletive) awesome!' " Bay says, and adds: "It's always nice when you can make him swear."

Mike Patton to Voice Decepticon Mixmaster in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Rumors about musician Mike Patton's involvement in the highly anticipated summer sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen were confirmed today by a "close" friend of the singer (who may or may not live in Philadelphia). More of a cameo than a leading robot, Patton will lend his unique vocal talents to Mixmaster, one of the seven Decepticons that form to create Devastator. He is a concrete mixing truck that serves as the left leg of this gigantically awesome robot.

While Patton's participation in the film was 100% confirmed, the "source" didn't seem quite so positive about the actual robot he would be playing, at times calling him a dump truck (which is actually Long Haul). Either way, he will voice one of the seven vehicles that form Devastator. Patton is said to have landed the gig after producers heard his voice work on the video game The Darkness. This is a big year for the prolific singer, as his score for Crank: High Voltage will be released this coming Tuesday. And he is currently in the midst of embarking on a European reunion tour with his former band Faith No More.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen opens this summer on June 24th, 2009.

Issue #4 of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Movie Prequel - Defiance by IDW Publishing was released today in comic book shops. The final issue of this prequel story arc, telling the story of the start of the war between Autobots and Decepticons in the movie universe, provided some potential spoilers regarding the storyline that will be featured in the movie sequel. They include:

- The AllSpark still has unknown origins, but its power created The Fallen's race. That race was born on what appears to be a terrestrial planet. They become interplantary travelers, courtesy of The AllSpark.
- The Fallen's race determined that the AllSpark's power in not unlimited and must be replenished.
- They discovered that energy from a sun can be harvested to replenish the AllSpark. While the AllSpark's power is replenished, the sun dies.
- The AllSpark begins to change the race's terrestrial planet into a metallic planet.
- The Allspark provides the first Transformers to the race, to act as their workers who will locate suns and build the needed sun harvesters.
- The Fallen gets greedy and wants the power of the AllSpark for himself. He attempts to betray all of his "brothers" while another sun harvester is being built on another terrestrial planet.
- The Fallen's brothers apparently are onto his plan. They have trapped themselves in sarcophagus and do the same with The Fallen.
- Following the trap, a pyramid is being built around the sun harvester to hide it.
- As seen with the previous movie-universe comics, Optimus Prime sent the AllSpark into space to avoid it falling into Megatron's hands.
- The reason the AllSpark landed on Earth is because the AllSpark will detect and head towards sun harvesters.
- In Defiance, Megatron is turned evil and forms the Decepticons by the influence of The Fallen (who is trapped in the recovered sarcophagus). Towards the end, The Fallen continues to push Megatron to locate the AllSpark which in turn would help him to locate the harvester. Repowering the AllSpark will free The Fallen from his sarcophagus.

Duração do filme!

“It’s four minutes longer than the last one,” ou seja, o 1º tinha 143 + 4 = 147 minutos.

“I don’t ever talk (to executives) about run times, ... Studios always ask, ‘What’s the run time?’ And I’m like ‘If you enjoy the movie, do you care?’"

e ai têm, 147 minutos de decepticons a limpar autobots

Por acaso já sei, o Bay disse ontem nos fóruns dele :D

Steven Spielberg sat next to me in a big 100 person theater at Sony today. There were 98 empty seats. The lights came up after we just watched my cut of Revenge of the Fallen. He turned to me and said "It's awesome". He felt this movie was better then the first - and probably my best, who knows - at this point in a movie you start to lose your objectivity. I just hope the fans like it. I'm going to start putting it in front of audiences in a few weeks - no you are not invited, yet.

We have 60 days left. Let me tell you it will be a race to finish. It's 12 at night and we are still working here in the edit room. Everyone at ILM and DD are killing themselves right now, they are doing a stellar job on the effects. We also just finished our trailer which is coming out with Wolverine. Talk to you soon.

"The Fallen is the ultimate bad boy," Bay explained of the mysterious evildoer glimpsed briefly in the trailer for the June 24 film, whose vengeful mission gives the film's title its double meaning. "He goes way back in the Transformer world. He's one of the first Transformers."

"The twins are quite fun," Bay said of the comedy-relief duo, remembering his inspiration for including them. "I just kept thinking, 'What if we have two dumb Transformers that are young and dumb?' ... They are just irreverent, dumb Transformers."

"[Devastator is] the most complicated model that George Lucas' company has done in 30 years," Bay marveled. "In all the 30 years of [Industrial Light and Magic] making movies, it's the most complicated digital model — and it's tenfold in terms of the most complicated. It's taken a long time to do.

"There's a lot of great new characters in this movie — some funny ones, some devious ones, there are some little teeny ones that are a little irreverent," Bay said of a robot group that includes such newbies as the four-legged Ravage, sleek Sideswipe and others. "You know what is better in this movie? The acting of the robots. It's just evolved from the last one, and in terms of the animation we are able to put these robots' [emotions] in."

Such acting innovations have also helped a big breakout robot from the original "Transformers" film, who Bay insisted remains his favorite Transformer of the group. "Bumblebee is great in this movie," he promised.

he Showest footage was pulled down because it was just a 12-hour thing.

I just wanted the fans to get a taste of what we have been making for a year and a half because we have been so quiet. The piece was cut about a month ago for this Showest thing I accepted this past month - so as you can see many of the shots were far from being finished renders. Orci, um dos escritores, resolveu responder a mais umas perguntas dos fãs (se bem que algumas respostas não dizem nada.. :P):

Have you guys gotten a ton of feedback from Transfans, disappointed that Optimus coming up small in that pivotal battle with Megatron at the end of the 1st movie? ...can we expect a little different in ROTF as far as Prime is concerned?
Yeah we did get a lot of discussion about that very point. It was on our minds for the sequel...

Are there any writers, or team of writers, who you would like to hand the reigns too in an ideal world? For TF3.
No... this isn't a monarchy where duties can or should be passed on. May the best idea win!

...will the ratio of robot-to-human time be pretty much the same?
There's no shortage of robot time in tf2. It will be longer than than the first movie.

Roberto, sum up movie Soundwave in one word please.

Prime's new toy has dual swords. Any chance of seeing dual swords in the film?
Would be cool!

What is your opinion on John Turturro voicing Jetfire? Will it do justice to the character?
I love him for everything, and he playfully offered to do it because he thought the character was fun. We'll see!

I know you said Soundwave don't turn into a truck but will he have some kind of earth mode? Does he fight on Earth at all?
that would give away TOO MUCH!

Who are some Autobots that you thought hard about including in this movie but chose not to?
Dinobots.

1) On a note of confirmation, is Springer in TF 2? 2) Will there be an action scene of Sideswipe deploying his blades in mid-air, spinning in a circle as he goes? 3) Will there ever be a fast talking Autobot in the three movies? 4) Are any humans gonna get slagged? Major ones?
1 no comment 2 no comment 3 no comment 4 no comment Does that answer your questions?

When you said you thought long and hard about including Dinobots in movie 2 but decided not to, does that mean it will never happen or that it just wasn't right for this particular film?
Just for this film.

Are Scavenger (Excavator and part of Demolisher) and Demolisher (Excavator and Giant Wheel Death Bot from the trailer) two different characters? Or is this another bit of Brawl/Devastator naming weirdness?
We'll find out together!

When Mr. bay said the movie was "Darker", what does he mean by that?
When Alex and Ehren and I were thinking about what to do with the sequel to Transformers, we thought back to the sequels that we loved as kids. These movies all shared some common characteristics: they stood alone as their own movies... the stakes seemed greater, and as result, they seemed darker... we're talking about sequels like Superman 2, Aliens, Wrath of Kahn, and The Empire Strikes Back... I think most would agree that each of these bench mark sequels were darker than the first, yet still were genuine continuations of the first.

Is Soundwave not going to accompany Megatron as the loyal soldier?
soundwave is kinda doing his own thing in the movie.

I'm interested in knowing how exactly the process went about since there were three of you. Did you all work on the script together at the same time? did you each write your own draft and merge them together or did one of you get elected to write the first while the other two worked on it afterward?
As far as the script goes, the three of us sat down and came up with a story, the way you can imagine riffing a story with your friends... almost like band practice, or something. Then, once we had the story, we went 30 pages at a time, each of us writing different scenes and then passing them around for notes, comments, or adjustments until we had a full shooting draft.

Outra noticia, esta é uma entrevista á mtv em que se fala na voz do Leonard Nimoy para uma das vozes do filme:

“I’m still not done with all the voices,” Bay explained to us recently when we brought up “Revenge of the Fallen” robot casting for the film.

As loyal fans of the robots-in-disguise remember, Mr. Spock himself - Leonard Nimoy - was the voice of characters like Galvatron in the 1986 cartoon “Transformers: The Movie.” And “Revenge” writer Roberto Orci has said that he’d like to see Nimoy return for the summer blockbuster.

“You know, he’s related to me,” laughed Bay. “And now that you are filming this, maybe you can send it to him.”

“[Nimoy] is married to Susan Bay, who’s a cousin to me,” Michael explained, saying that he’s afraid of insulting his relative with the mere pittance allotted to pay his voice actors. “I just feel kind of bad about asking him. Like ‘I can’t pay you that much? But would you do this voice?’”

So Michael hasn’t worked up the nerve yet to ask his famous cousin – who appears in next month’s “Star Trek” – to lend him his vocal talents. Instead, the pair have been using a third relative as a go-between.

“Would he do it?” Bay asked. “He suggested to my mom that he might do it.”

Dos foruns do Sr. Bay para o mundo:

Nelson here...

Back in the day when Michael directed Armageddon and Pearl Harbor, there were books that accompanied the released of both films. "Visions of Armageddon" and "Pearl Harbor: The Movie and the Moment." I got the special hardcover edition of "Visions of Armageddon" which was shipped in a velvet-like slipcase. They are numbered, autographed by Bay & Bruckheimer and only 200 were printed.

So it was this in mind that I asked Michael the other day if he was planning on doing something similar. "Yes" was his response. He indicated that it might be available for this holiday season. So I’m looking forward to that.

In other news, Bay noted that Steve Jablonsky and Linkin Park are working on the score for "Revenge of the Fallen." He also mentioned that they will be re-releasing the first Transformers movie with the new “Revenge of the Fallen” trailer attached to it in about 25 markets in the US.

NHAMI news!

Mais noticias sobre os Linkin Park e a sua participação na OST

REAKING NEWS: Linkin Park will be working on the score for Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen.

Although I wasn't at liberty to say it before, the song I've been referencing here on mikeshinoda.com in the past few weeks...is actually being done for Michael Bay's new Transformers film, due out June 24th.

In addition--and probably ever cooler--we have been offered the unique opportunity to help score the film. The song we wrote is being used as one of the themes, and we will be writing various interpolations on that theme, and trying out some other thematic ideas as part of the (very large) team scoring the film.
My bandmates and I are working with award-winning film composer (and resident ass-kicker) Hans Zimmer. We met with Hans last week, and heard some of the incredible things he and his guys have done with our new song. In the next few days, we'll be doing some work with Hans' amazing writing and recording crew.

Michael Bay has shown us select scenes from the film, and it looks incredible. I can't wait for you to see it.
fonte: http://www.mikeshinoda.com/blog/special_events-recommended_music-in_the_studio-featured-linkin_park_/transformers_2_new_linkin_park_song_and_score

I work in the effects industry but I am not affiliated with this film. We do have an online community (member only) where we discuss various projects around the various studios. I have some knowledge about some of the robots in the shots from the trailer.

- The robot with the "loose" treads is called Scrapper. Hence the reason he is "fist" fighting with Bumblebee.
- The yellow robot is Rampage.
- The helicopter is Blackout. You could see it at the ShoWest if you were there but more now with a HD feed of this trailer you can see that Blackout has rust on him just like Megatron does. Blackout is mostly intact.
- The robots crashing into the aircraft carrier are the Constructicons. Many people believed it was members of Starscream's air force but as you can see from the video there are no robots present. We saw an additional scene where Long Haul and Mixmaster are destroying the ship from within and end up ripping the hull of the carrier in half.
- What I was told is Soundwave has been scanning vehicles and when the Decepticons come to earth they fly by him in space and receive their alt mode on the way down. [Strategically and story wise, this is a genius idea]
- This is why Long Haul, Scrapper, and Mixmaster are as their alt modes over Megatron. Brawl and Bonecrusher do not return. They use Brawls parts to reform Megatron underwater (tank tracks and fitted with a particle cannon that Soundwave provides.
- Soundwave is only seen in the trailer as one of the 4 robots down in the ocean. By the way if you think Long Haul is huge Soundwave is about 6 feet taller. The other plot point is the cold and pressure does not affect their bodies like the humans thought they would. Two Decepticons give up their sparks to revive Megatron and Blackout who we find out is 3rd in command behind Starscream.
- Michael Bay made Soundwave's role as Megatron's most trusted friend (aka bodyguard and secretly unknown to Starscream as the real number 2) hence the recovery effect by the Decepticons.
- Mixmaster and Megatron can semi-fly in the film but not much. Megatron has back rockets and Mixmaster has the spinning gears turbines under his arm shields (cement mixer barrel) that he uses a few times. Mixmaster has a lot of screen time. [This would explain how Megs "swimming" up so fast and how Mixxy gets on the bridge]
- We saw a short 5 second shot where Long Haul stomps on Jazz's corpse underwater. [Sorry but I have not and still don't think Jazz returns and I could see this being Bay's definitive statement on the matter]
- There are 5 other jets that fly with Starscream but have not been named at the time of the show. I do not know the type of aircraft.
- Barricade is the one crashing into the library but isn't seen.

We saw more of that shot at the ShoWest show in private. Finally the major spoilers is as follows so look away if you don't want to know.

Remember when Michael Bay said Ravage does something no other transformer does? Well Alice is Ravage. Well they kinda gave it away when they said she had a tail and a tongue. Ravage is really small like a real jungle cat. He is sent to kill Sam but realizes Sam has information about The Fallen so he tries to get it from him. Once she turns on Sam and comes after him then she shows who she really is and Barricade shows up to help. Enough said. Now I said enough but hey there was 300 plus people at the ShoWest after party. I am out. Enjoy Revenge of the Fallen because a lot of great lads at ILM and DD did the work.

O trailer comentado: http://www.empireonline.com/features/transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen-trailer-breakdown/default.asp

- "This one's apocalyptic," grins Bay. "The last movie had a threat to a little non-descript city; this one impacts the whole world. It's nuts."
- Two of the new additions to the Autobot team can be seen here, behind Bumblebee. Called Skids and Mudflap (aka "The Twins"), they are hybrid cars who can transform separately or combine into one big 'bot, and were actually dreamed up by Bay himself. "I had the idea to introduce these two dumb little Transformers," he explains. "They're brothers who are really stupid and argue with each other all the time - they're great for kids."
[Note that Bay doesn't comment on the combined form so this is not official confirmation, but I think this is Empire's reference to the theory that the Ice Cream Truck seen on set is the Twins early vehicle mode]
- These ancient symbols play a key role in the plot. "We're going to show you that the hieroglyphics in the pyramids are actually pictures of Transformers," says diBonaventura. "The movie actually opens before the pyramids were built. We tie the Transformers into the beginnings of civilisation."
- "You've got to push yourself out of the comfort zone," says producer Ian Bryce. "The effects have to top what we did before - and top anything the audience has ever seen before." "Optimus has 10,000 moving parts," chips in Farrar, "and we've got robots in this with five times more than that!"
- Meet Jetfire, a doddery old Autobot voiced by John Turturro. "He's a cranky, forgetful old man," says Bay. "He's running out of Energon, which keeps him going. When he falls down he creaks and he doesn't transform well - it's like arthritis."
[Turturro voicing Jetfire has not been officially confirmed but probably true]
- Devastator hoovers up the Sahara in the final battle. "I personally thought the ending of the first movie was pretty weak," admits Bay. "For one thing, I had to shoot the city battle on five separate blocks, which made it confusing and hard to follow. But the climax here is much clearer in terms of the landmarks and what the endgame is. And it's a really cool scene. You'll never have seen anything like it before."

According to LPU newsletter the title of Linkin Park's new song is called 'New Divide', it is the theme song and lead single from the upcoming movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The song will premiere on radio worldwide on May 18 and will also be available for download on iTunes that same day. Mike says, "The opportunity to be creatively involved with one of the most anticipated films of the summer is pretty exciting. It's one thing to shoot a video that matches sound and vision, but making music that's built for the big screen is a completely different challenge and we ran with it." The movie opens in theatres worldwide on June 24 and the soundtrack will hit the stores on June 23. Check out three new one sheet promo posters.
